Chapter 91
Scarlett thought for a moment, then shook her head; if she left the lounge, she might run into Sebastian.
Dev looked at her helplessly.
“Tll go get you something to cat.”
Having said that, he disregarded Scarlett and departed.
Dey’s identity was distinct, and the Jackman Group accorded him the highest regard.
He went to the same restaurant as Sebastian.
Dev gazed at the dazzling array of food, not knowing what to choose.
He took out his phone and called Scarlett, “What do you like to eat?”
Scarlett didn’t want to eat anything, but Dev advised, “You have to eat a little. You have to take care of me in the afternoon.”
She only said, “Anything easy to digest.”
Dev asked softly. “I’ll get you some fish, vegetables, and yogurt. What about some rice?”
“No need for rice.”
“Okay, wait for me.”
Seeing her obedience, Dev smiled and hung up the phone. As he was about to go get food, a cold voice came from behind
him.
“At the bidding meeting, Mr. Gatsby still has to take care of his girlfriend.”
Dev spun around and spotted Sebastian standing off to the side.
Although his tall and straight figure was comparable to his own, he always felt a sense of oppression in front of Sebastian.
The pressure created an uncomfortable atmosphere.
Dey looked at him and said lightly, “Mr. Jackman is joking. Why would I bring my girlfriend to participate in the bidding meeting?”
“If Miss Sales is not your girlfriend, then what is she?” Sebastian raised his eyebrows slightly.
Dey didn’t like his arrogant tone, but he still replied patiently. “I have nothing to do with her, but..
“But what?”
*Mr. Jackman seems to be very concerned about the matter between me and Miss Sales,” he asked anxiously. “I just want to see how Mr. Gatsby can take over the woman that James has played with.” Sebastian smiled.
In the end, he did not forget to ridicule. “Aren’t you afraid of getting infected?”
“Mr. Jackman, isn’t it a bit too ungraceful to slander a woman like this?”
Sebastian walked up to Dev and looked at him coldly. “Then what do you think is graceful?”.
Dev gave him a judgmental look instead of answering the question.
“Mr. Jackman, you seem to have been targeting me all this time.”
At the bidding meeting, in the restaurant, and even from the first time they met, he had been setting his sights on him.
He had never encountered Sebastian before, making it inconceivable for him to have offended him. Why would he have to target him?
Sebastian’s expression shifted briefly, then he reverted back to his usual demeanor.
“I was just afraid that Mr. Gatsby would be fooled.”
“You mean Miss Sales is fooling me?”
Dev asked.
