Winston’s warm hand pressed against Millie’s body as he leaned in to warn her, “Millie, listen carefully. Until we sign those divorce papers, you’ll act like Mrs. Greer and stop causing trouble. If you
dare to cheat on me…”
He narrowed his eyes as his voice trailed off, his gaze filled with menace.
Millie’s hands, resting by her sides, slowly clenched into fists. She then heard him say, “Don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
Of course, she knew how heartless Winston could be. His ruthlessness wasn’t limited to her alone. If she provoked him, the entire Caldwell family would bear the consequences.
“But Winston, aren’t you overestimating yourself? Millie countered.
She would never allow him to harm the Caldwells Did he genuinely think she was someone to be
trifled with?
Millie was only weak when it came to matters of the heart. If Winston dared to lay a finger on her family, she wouldn’t spare him.
“Millie, you’re well aware of my capabilities,” Winston said, his gaze turning icy. He never failed at anything he set his mind to.
Having said his piece, he got out of the car.
Millie watched as Winston straightened his clothes and regained his composed demeanor. It was as if the person who had behaved wildly before her wasn’t him at all.
He walked around the vehicle and got in. After that, he fastened his seatbelt before starting the
engine.
Millie wanted to get out of the car. However, he floored the accelerator, causing the vehicle to speed off before she could leave.
She couldn’t be bothered to argue. Hence, she settled in the back seat and looked out the window. Right then, she heard Winston say, “From now on, stay out of Simon’s business.”
But Millie didn’t respond. Whether she got involved in Simon’s matters or not was her business. Winston didn’t have the right to order her around.
Winston glanced at Millie through the rearview mirror. Her clothes were somewhat messy, and her neck was tinged with redness. The marks he left behind were glaringly obvious.
He couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, and his Adam’s apple bobbed slightly. It was evident that his gaze was too penetrating as Millie lowered her head to adjust her attire quietly.
Winston continued to stare at her. The corners of his lips curled into a smirk, and his eyes brimmed with desire. He ran his tongue over his lips, her fragrance lingering in the air around him.
Even Winston himself couldn’t believe it. They had been married for three years, yet he had always been uninterested in her. However, one forceful kiss had changed everything.

It was late at night. The streetlights faded into the background, but the traffic on the road persisted.
Millie looked out the window and realized they weren’t heading toward the Caldwell Villa. “I want to go home,” she said expressionlessly.
However, Winston ignored her and continued driving toward their villa.
“Aren’t you afraid of being caught by Joanna again? Millie asked with a frown.
Winston couldn’t help but glance at the rearview mirror before asking, “Does it bother you if Joanna sees you?”
Millie was stunned by the question. Shouldn’t it have been Winston who was concerned?
“I don’t care,” she answered casually.
Winston’s grip on the steering wheel tightened inexplicably. In the past, whenever he and Joanna went anywhere together, Millie would lose it and call him incessantly. But now, she could calmly say she
