Millie had barely exchanged a few words with Rachel when Jake approached. 

“Ladies, it’s too quiet chatting just between the two of you. Why not let me join in?” Jake suggested with a mischievous smile. 

Millie crossed her arms and gestured toward Madison. “I saw you two were having a good chat.” 

Jake glanced over at Madison and sighed. “Alas, I don’t even know her.” 

“She’s the only person I know in the industry.” Jake suddenly pointed at Rachel. 

Rachel, who was in the middle of eating, was taken aback by this unexpected encounter. She responded with a warm smile and graciously replied, “It’s truly an honor to be remembered by you, Mr. Webson.” 

Jake chuckled and leaned against the bar. He playfully commented, “Your smile seems fake.” 

“There are even more fake ones. Would you like to see them?” Rachel glanced at Jake, her tone unfriendly. 

Jake had been interacting with various people for many years, and his keen perception allowed him to quickly discern whether someone was treating him with hostility or respect., 

Feeling puzzled, he leaned forward and asked Rachel, “Ms. Shaw, have I ever offended you?” 

Millie ate the cake as she observed them, feeling unexpectedly intrigued. Glancing to the side, she noticed Winston surrounded by countless attractive women. 

It was undeniable that his status would be highly appealing to women. With Winston present, scenes like this would always unfold, even if Joanna ended up in a relationship with him.
