Joanna’s cheeks flushed when Millie put her in her place. She always thought it was Millie who exposed her. 

She even planned for the worst–case scenario, in which she would drag Millie down with her. 

Therefore, she was shocked to learn that Yoel was the culprit who exposed her secret. She asked Millie,” And how did Yoel Marshall learn about it?” 

“How the fuck would I know? You love running your mouth when you’re out and about. Am I supposed to clean up your mess?” Millie bellowed at Joanna, causing her to jump in shock. 

“Winston Greer, do not turn me into a scapegoat. I’m not some despicable villain.” After that, Millie tossed the envelope into Winston’s arms. 

She waved at Joanna and Winston, who were both scowling. “Best wishes for your marriage.” 

With that, she marched out of Joanna’s room feeling cathartic, but what happened was just the beginning. 

She didn’t bring the evidence to Sebastian immediately as she knew Winston would certainly force Sebastian to take action against Yoel for Joanna’s sake.

As long as Millie admitted to writing the letter, he would make her explain the scandal to Sebastian by claiming it was fake. That would effectively end the scandal and protect Joanna’s professional reputation.
