Millie was going to her car in the parking lot when a black Maybach suddenly stopped in front of her. The car window rolled down; it was Winston. 

“Millie, get in the car,” he said calmly, although his tone was intense. 

She declined. “I’m going back.” 

If Joanna found out that he sent her home, she would definitely cause a scene again. 

“Get in the car,” repeated Winston, his tone growing more serious. 

Millie frowned. “What’s the matter?” 

“Can’t I just meet you? Didn’t you used to enjoy being with me?” Winston grew impatient over time. 

She smiled. “Mr. Greer, if you don’t have anything to tell me, there’s no need for you to come to me. Time is precious for everyone, and our identities have changed. Let’s not compare ourselves to the past.” 

Winston was rendered speechless. Undoubtedly, things had changed significantly. 

Millie’s phone rang abruptly. It was the reminder she had set for her divorce appointment tomorrow. 

She turned her phone screen to Winston and smiled. “Mr. Greer, see you at the courthouse at 8:00 am tomorrow.” 

The one–month cooling–off period had ended, and they could finally obtain their divorce certificate. 

Winston held the steering wheel tightly as he looked at Millie intensely. Then, he unbuckled his seat belt and stepped out of the car. 

Millie watched him approach her. He then opened the car door and pushed her inside. The door slammed shut, leaving Millie in shock as she watched him get into the car. 

He frowned and glanced at Millie, saying seriously, “Nothing important, just casual conversation.” 

“What do you want to discuss?” 

He was visibly upset. The car made its way to an isolated location, where he brought it to a stop. After unfastening his seat belt, he stepped out of the car.
