Chapter 75
Those doctors were being so rough. He would do it himself.
“No.” Millie inched backward.
“You don’t have the right to say no.” Winston’s tone was stern.
Millie kept moving backward until her back was against the railing. She couldn’t help but inhale sharply.
Noticing her sharp breath, he took the iodine and forceps from the doctor. In a low voice, he asked, Where does it hurt?”
Millie looked at Winston with reddened eyes. There was no light in them and only helplessness.
Winston felt that his heartstrings were being tugged at. He became impatient and irritated for some reason. I’m asking you, where does it hurt?”
What the hell was going on? Why was he feeling frustrated ever since Millie got injured? He couldn’t calm down for even a moment.
Seeing Millie look at him that way, he only felt guilty. But he didn’t cause this, so why was he so frustrated?
Millie lowered her eyes and pointed at her back, after which Winston moved to stand behind her.
Below her butterfly tattoo were two small pieces of glass shards.
Millie’s skin was fair and delicate. Now that she was wounded, the surrounding area was bright red.
Winston couldn’t help but lift his hand to touch it.
When his cold fingers touched Millie’s back, she shivered.
Looking at her side profile, Winston had mixed feelings.
He carefully removed the glass shards and used lodine to disinfect it. After he was done, he layered a hemostatic gauze.
Just as he was about to check if he had missed any glass shards on Millie, his gaze landed on the butterfly tattoo. Frowning, he raised his hand and touched it. Her skin underneath the tattoo wasn’t smooth.
Winston asked all of a sudden, “You have a scar here?”
