Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce! novel Chapter 684

Sean lowered her eyes and replied sheepishly, "I don't know yet. The doctor hasn't confirmed it yet."

Recently, Sean had been vomiting a lot.

And she hadn't had her period this month, so she suspected she might be pregnant. But she wasn't sure about it. She planned to go to the pharmacy after work today to buy a pregnancy test.

However, just now, she couldn't resist feeling like vomiting in front of Sydney.

She had to lie to Sydney to hide the fact that she might be pregnant.

Sean felt guilty for Sydney.

"Why didn't you go to the hospital to get it confirmed? It's such a big deal!" Hearing Sean's reply, Sydney was stunned.

‘It's so irresponsible towards oneself!'

Watching Sydney become angry, Sean felt even more ashamed. But she had to keep lying.

Sean hung her head down and murmured, “My mom is at my home these days, so I didn't go to the hospital. I was afraid that if my mom saw me on the medication, she would worry. She's old and her health is not very good. I don't want her to worry about me."

"Despite that, you can't delay going to the hospital anymore." Sydney compressed her lips.

Sean murmured, "I'll go to the hospital this afternoon."

"Will you?" Sydney narrowed her eyes at Sean.

Sean nodded, "Yes, I know I can't delay it any longer."

If she was really pregnant, she should make plans earlier on what to do afterward.

If she wasn't pregnant but sick, she should get treatment as soon as possible.

Either way, it was good for Sean to go to the hospital early to confirm it.

Hearing Sean's reply, Sydney eased up. But she was still worried, "Since you said it, you must keep your promise. Go to the hospital this afternoon. You are my secretary and the only girl friend I have right now. I don't want anything to happen to you. If something happens to you, who can I talk to in the future? Who will help me at work?"

Hearing Sydney's words, Sean felt warm inside. Her eyes welled up with tears. "Ms. Raines, thank you for caring about me."

Sydney patted Sean's shoulder and said, "You're my friend. Of course, I care about you. But are you sure you don't need to go to the infirmary right now?"

Sydney was worried about Sean.

Sean shook her head, "No, I'm fine."

Sean resolutely refused to go to the infirmary, so Sydney had to give up.

Since Sean said she was going to the hospital this afternoon, Sydney didn’t insist on asking her to go to the infirmary.

"Okay. Let's get out of here." Sydney withdrew her hand from Sean's shoulder.

Sean followed Sydney out of the bathroom.

Getting back into the office, Sydney took the glass of water with honey in it and handed it to Sean. "Drink some water. It's good for your stomach."

Looking at the water, Sean was touched. Her nose felt sour.

Sean took the glass of water and said in a choked voice, "Thank you, Ms. Raines."

"It’s OK. As I said, we're friends. It's just a glass of water. It's no big deal. Drink it."

Sydney pulled her chair out and sat down.

Sean nodded repeatedly. Then she began to sip the water.

Sydney smiled as she watched Sean drink the water. Then she took out her phone.

Julien had sent her a message, and she checked it. The message said, [I'm at the hospital.]

The message was from a minute ago.

Sydney replied, [Okay. Say hello to Grandma for me.]

Sean pushed her black-rimmed glasses upward and said, "Ms. Raines, I guess Mr. Flint did it to celebrate you guys getting back together, like distributing gifts and candy at a wedding."

Sydney raised her eyebrows. "I didn't anticipate him doing that."

The assistant's eyes sparkled when he heard Sydney and Sean's conversation. He asked excitedly, "Ms. Raines, is the news true? You and Mr. Flint are really back together?"

Sydney saw the curiosity in the assistant's eyes and smiled, "Now that you've heard about it, do you need to ask me?"

"I wanted to make sure of it." The assistant giggled. He was thrilled.

‘Jesus! They're really back together!'

‘This is such exciting news!'

Sydney ignored the assistant's excitement. She picked up her phone again and said, "Let me ask Julien what's going on."

Then she was about to call Julien.

However, before she could dial the number, her phone rang.

It was Zach.

Sydney answered it, and Zach respectfully greeted, "Ms. Raines, good morning."

"Good morning, Zach," Sydney responded.

Zach was standing outside the Old Madam's ward, "Ms. Raines, have our people arrived at Skylight?"

"Yes." Sydney replied, and then she asked, "What's with all the snacks and money gifts?"

Zach smiled, "Mr. Flint asked me to have the snacks and money gifts delivered to Skylight to celebrate getting back together with you. Mr. Flint wanted to bring good luck to everyone. Not just employees in Skylight, but everyone in Flint Corporation has gifts."

Sydney turned to Sean, "You were right."
