Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce! novel Chapter 708

"I'll accompany you to the bank after breakfast," Julien said while reaching out to brush his hair.

Sydney agreed, nodding.

They got up, washed up and then walked out of the room.

Sydney was about to go to the kitchen to prepare some food when the doorbell rang.

"Julien, someone is pressing the doorbell," Sydney said to Julien, who was bending over to make coffee in front of the coffee table.

Julien poured out the brewed coffee and then replied, "It should be Zach. He brings breakfast to us."

"Did you ask Zach to prepare breakfast?" Sydney raised her eyebrows.

Julien nodded. "Yes. When I woke up, I sent him a message."

Then Julien walked towards the door and opened it.

It was indeed Zach who was standing outside.

"Come in." Julien released his hold on the knob and returned to the living room.

Zach followed behind him with a box containing breakfast.

In the living room, Zach greeted Sydney, who was drinking coffee made by Julien on the sofa. "Ms. Raines, good morning."

"Good morning, Zach." Sydney gave a smile.

When Zach put the box on the table in the dining room, he said, "Mr. Flint, on my way here, I talked with some people on the phone and then found that there were many reporters in front of our company and Skylight Corporation."

"Well…" Hearing Zach's words, Julien responded nonchalantly. He was indifferent to the reporters.

Not only he, but even Sydney was indifferent. She was drinking coffee languidly.

It was not the first time that Sydney had been put on the hot search list, and even many celebrities were not as hotly discussed as she.

Every time she was put on the hot search list, she couldn’t avoid being pestered by reporters. She had been used to it.

So, she was indifferent when she heard that there were reporters around Skylight Corporation.

Zach couldn't help touching the tip of his nose after finding both Sydney and Julien looked detached.

‘Well, they are so calm.’

‘It seems that I’m too nervous.’

After shrugging his shoulders, Zach didn’t say anything and continued to take the foods out of the box and put them on the table.

After a while, all the foods were put on the table.

Zach turned to look at Sydney and Julien and uttered, "Mr. Flint, Ms. Raines, please have breakfast."

"Okay." Julien put down the coffee and stood up. He took Sydney's wrist and led her to the dining table.

After breakfast, it was already half past eight.

There were still one and a half hours before the press conference. Julien thought he and Sydney would show up at the conference on time after they came from the bank.

On the way to the bank, Julien thought of something. He turned to look at Sydney beside him, who had been typing on the phone with her head down. "Leaf."

"Huh?" Sydney raised her head when she heard him calling her. "What's the matter?"

"You told me that in the bank's safe, there was only a memory card recording the surveillance video of how Madeline and Kaylie bullied you, but you didn't tell me that you had an adoption certificate. If you don't have an adoption certificate, how can you explain to the public that you were adopted by the Raines couple?" Julien asked with a frown, looking serious.

Though Sydney didn't know that she was Brandon's daughter, Julien knew.

Sydney was not adopted from an orphanage, but was stolen from Brandon by Harry, so Julien thought that she might not have an adoption certificate.

Back into the car, Sydney put the small suitcase that she had just taken out of the bank's safe onto her lap. Rubbing the old suitcase with her hand, she said in a deepened voice, "I don’t know what else was in the suitcase except the memory card recording the surveillance video."

"Don't you know what was in the suitcase except the memory card recording the video?" Julien asked, after glancing at the suitcase.

Sydney shook her head, "I really don't know. I only know the things that Dad told me. I don't know about the other things."

"Open it, and you’ll know." Julien was encouraging Sydney. "Anyway, you’ll have to open it when you take out the memory card."

"You’re right." Sydney smiled and then began to turn the password lock.

She knew the password, which was her date of birth. Her dad told her about it when he deposited the suitcase in the bank.

And she kept it in mind.

When Sydney rotated the last dial to the corresponding number, there was a click.

Sydney smiled in surprise. "I’ve opened it."

Julien no longer supported his head, and he withdrew his elbow from the armrest of the car door.

Sydney lifted one side of the suitcase up, and it was opened.

Unexpectedly, in addition to the memory card and real estate certificates that she had known, the rest were a folded silk piece and a set of baby clothes.

"This..." Sydney was confused. "Why did Dad keep the baby clothes inside the suitcase? And what is this silk piece?"

She reached out to touch the silk piece, which felt as soft as cotton. This surprised Sydney. "Is it a sheet?"

Then she took out the “sheet”, unfolded it gently, and found that it was really a sheet.

Or, it might be more appropriate to describe it as a swaddle.
