Sir madame has run away again (Lily and Carson) novel Chapter 198

Chapter 198
“A Broken Bell Can Never Sound Good!” I hung up the phone furiously.
“Is it Eric again?” Isabella was looking at me.
“Yeah, I don’t know what I did to piss him off, but he keeps trying to humiliate me,” I huffed.
“He seems like he’s all over the place, but he doesn’t seem like someone who has that much time to spare.” She also found it strange.
“Who knows what mental disorder he has? He saw everything that happened outside the OR earlier. Damn it! I can’t face it anymore.”
After I said an expletive, Isabella looked at me in shock. “Lily… Did you just swear?”
“I also want to kill someone. Why am I so unlucky? How can I be humiliated by these good-for-nothings?”
“I don’t think Eric is trying to humiliate you. He never cares about anything but himself. Calling you and being sarcastic seems a bit out of character for me. I have a feeling he’s paying a lot of attention to you.”
“Did I say otherwise? Every time something unfortunate happens to me, he’s always lurking nearby.” Remembering the times. when I embarrassed myself in front of Eric it started to make me uncomfortable.
“I think he cares about you.”
“Do you care about me? That much? He comes at me in full swing and doesn’t spare me an ounce of dignity. Am I close to him? It is simply unreasonable!”
“Didn’t you want him to help you? I used to think there was no hope, but now I think there might be.” She suddenly got excited.
“What hope? Stop dreaming.” I sighed; she had no idea how bad Eric was. If she knew Eric was blackmailing me with my medical expenses, she’d probably spit blood. Never mind. I don’t want to let my mind go off on a tangent again. I was better thinking about my future.
Jolene had lost her son, but it didn’t seem likely that she would give up so easily when her five years of hard work had just gone down the drain. She would probably use any means possible to get back. From now on, I had to deal with Carson, that bastard, and also watch out for Jolene.
More than two hours later, Carson and Robin came to my hospital room together. Robin apologized: “I’m sorry, Lily. I made all those brash comments because I was so worried about my sister. Please forgive me.”
It was fun to see him like that. Carson obviously told him about what really happened to Jolene and did. come and apologize to me.
This guy was still young, so he wasn’t as calculating as Jolene or Carson. He still hadn’t reached his full potential. Looking at him, I said, “Mr. Hamilton, I cannot accept your apology.”
“Yes, this change in you is very drastic. It looked like you were about to eat Lily before, but what is it now? Have you found your conscience? Or do you have no money to pay the hospital bill?” Isabella always hit the home run with her
words.
“I’m a bastard. You were so good to us, but I didn’t know how to tell the good from the bad and I got mad at you. I’m not even human.” As he said that, he slapped himself on either side of the face.
