Sir madame has run away again (Lily and Carson) novel Chapter 232

“I have no idea. To be honest, I’m curious who this person is
“Lily, do you think Carson will choose to file a police report?”
“I don’t think so. If the police knock on the door, your secret will be exposed. He’s still waiting to inherit my father’s fortune, so he won’t make it known publicly.” I scoffed.
“But if he gives in, that person will keep blackmailing. After all, greed is human nature.”
“This is not good? I want him to be constantly tortured.”
Arriving at the company, I found President Smith in the elevator. With a smile, he asked, “Lilian, have you finished rendering the design?”
“I drew one last night. Let me show you.”
“Fine, let’s go to your office.”
Upon entering my office, President Smith took one look at my drawing and commended me: “It is a well-designed piece of work that blends both Eastern and Western styles. I believe President Walker will like it. Oh yes, you can show him that.”
“President Smith, this is just a concept. I’ll have to take a field trip before I get to a real project. Also, since this is a tender, it’s like going in through the back door if we go to President Walker directly. ” I was still upset because Eric made fun of me some time ago.
“Actually, we’re not really participants in the bidding process; we are doing this as a mere formality. President Walker and I reached an agreement early on. Yesterday, he told me that you should just show him the draft first. Since you’re done, just ask his opinion. If he agrees, the design is finalized. If he’s not satisfied, you’ll just make some changes. As for the field trip, you can tell him later.”
Left with no choice, I agreed to it. After President Smith left, I called Eric, who asked in an icy voice, “What’s the matter?”
“President Walker, I’ve finished rendering the design, so I want you to take a look.”
“Are you done with this? That’s fast.” I couldn’t tell his emotion from his voice.
“President Walker, can you tell me your email address?” I asked because I couldn’t figure out his intention.
“Miss Hawkins, as your company’s chief designer, I admire your ability. However, I have a question. Based on what did you draw the rendering of the design?”
“It’s in line with the bidding contract,” I answered honestly.
“The tender contract? This is funny. Could you really create a design rendering based solely on the bidding contract?” Eric scoffed, “If you’re not the lead designer, I doubt you’re qualified for that position.”
Watching him enveloped me. “Have a look at the rendering before judging whether I am qualified for my job. Your baseless accusation is ridiculous.”
“Unfounded accusation? Miss Hawkins, as a designer, you hurriedly created a design rendering before taking a field trip. Is this how you treat your client and your work? I’m shocked. Have you also come up with projects so nonchalantly in the past?”
“No, that… President Smith told me to show you that.” Eric’s words left me speechless. Didn’t President Smith just say that Eric wants to see you? What does Eric mean by that? I wonder if President Smith doesn’t understand Eric, or if Eric wants to play a trick on me again.
“Even if President Smith doesn’t understand design, don’t you either? You are even making a fallacious argument now. MS. Hawkins, your work ethic is problematic.”

“P-President Walker, I’m sorry! This is not the final version; it’s just a concept. Just wanted to ask your opinion before I go on a field trip.” I finished my words with a flushed face.
