Chapter 329
“Why do you want to go to my place?” I looked at him.
“To give you some ointment.” With that, he gave me an awkward smile. “You were only hurt because you accompanied me on a site visit, so I need to take responsibility. Initially, I was planning to go to your place tonight, but I’ll give you the medicine now, since I bumped into you. Otherwise, I would have to take a trip tonight.”
I contained my anger at his meaningless conversation that was entirely blackmail. “I will go down with you to get it.”
“That’s the attitude!” He smiled triumphantly.
After we got on the elevator, Eric continued to stare intently at me, not at all bothered by social niceties. “You have dark circles under your eyes. Were you in so much pain that you couldn’t sleep last night?” I didn’t say anything, I just turned my head. However, he was not the least bit offended. “I sent your shirt to dry cleaning, so come get it when you’re free. I’ll ask Georgie to cook you something delicious again.”
“Okay”
“Why wouldn’t you want that when you look so good in that shirt? Also, don’t you miss Georgie’s cooking?”
“No. You are really annoying.”
“Are you still angry
about last night’s incident? You are really petty. I didn’t do anything to you, just feast my eyes on you a little. Did you expect me to carry you with my eyes closed? My self-control was quite good, as if it was an ordinary man, he would have long ago…”
“Can’t you just shut up?” I glared at him furiously. “You are really chatty. Aren’t you tired of repeating the same thing over and over again? You complain even more than an old woman!”
“Are you criticizing me again?” The smile on Eric’s face abruptly disappeared. “If I don’t teach you a lesson, you’ll never learn how to behave.”
Seeing his murderous gaze, I was cowardly intimidated and instinctively backed away. Unexpectedly, he reached out and pulled me into his arms. With my heart nearly pounding in my chest, I stammered, “Wh-what are you doing?”
“What do you think I’m doing?” He smirked wickedly as he looked at me.
“Careful. This is my father’s company with people coming and going.”
“We are alone here in the elevator. How are people coming and going?”
“You can’t do anything, even if we’re alone. I’m a married woman, so you’ll be crossing a moral line.”
Snorting, Eric started to laugh. “Where did your mind go? I was just worried that it would hurt if your back hit the elevator wall, so I reached out and grabbed you. Why are you blowing it out of proportion?”
Is that why he grabbed me? My face instantly flamed up. Glancing at me, Eric chuckled smugly. “You look so sexy when you blush, I can’t help but want to take a bite out of you.” When his words fell out, he put his words into action and lowered his head…
