Sir madame has run away again (Lily and Carson) novel Chapter 440

Chapter 440

Camille really cares about Eric, I scoffed silently. Then, Jenny nudged me. “Lily, let’s go to the bar. It’s not big, but they have everything. We can have a good wine.”

Refusing to watch the couple kiss, I agreed. After the bartender came to clean up, Jenny and I went to the bar. We were served by a handsome young man, who came to welcome us warmly. “What will it be, miss?”

His English wasn’t very good, but I smiled. “Give me a Malbec.”

“Give me a minute.”

After we sat down, the waiter poured the Malbec, so I took a sip. Cool. Jenny took a sip from her glass as well. “Not bad, right?”

“Sim.”

“I want to ask you something, Lily. Please don’t be mad at me.”

“What is it?” Oh no. I had a feeling this wasn’t going to be good, as she looked so solemn, and I thought she might have figured out that I was the only one on Eric’s report.

“Who is Mr. Newman for you?”

“Mr. Newman? Oh, you mean Dylan?” I felt relieved and smiled. “We are good friends. We grew up together and I see him as my brother.”

“I see.” She smiled. “I was wondering why you would get involved with Mr. Newman when you are married. The paparazzi are really getting bolder.”

“What happened?”

“You do not know? Look at this.” She went online and showed me a news article. Oh my god, what’s up with that title?

The words read, ‘Dylan Newman shopping with his supposed girlfriend’.

I massaged my head, smiling bitterly. “What is that? I was shopping when you called me yesterday, and I happened to run into you. How did they manage to take this photo?”

“The paparazzi are everywhere,” she lamented.

“But he’s not a celebrity. Why is he followed?”
