Chapter 439
I put on my shoes and went to the bathroom. As I passed the last row, I saw Eric fast asleep there. He must have bought all the seats then. I wanted to beat myself up for having this kind of idea before. Obviously, Eric wasn’t someone who would make out with Camille on a plane.
Delighted, I went to the bathroom, but on the way out I bumped into him. He looked at me intently and smiled. “Some dark circles you have there. Could not sleep?” he asked. I ignored him and tried to leave but he grabbed my hand. “You looked happy yesterday.”
The mention of what happened last night pissed me off. I was an idiot for going to the bazaar with him hand in hand. And did I really believe that he would solve the paparazzi issue? What am I, stupid? Not even 24 hours had passed since then, and now he was here with Camille. Even with the current situation, shouldn’t I call him a flirt? Right, like he was innocent. “Get out,” I snapped.
“You’re mad? That’s right, get mad.” He looked at me. “I am also angry! And this is all because of you!”
Why the hell is he scolding me? What did I do? “Are you sick in the head?”
“What did you say?”
“I asked if you’re sick in the head. Go see a doctor and let me go!”
“Are you crazy, Lillian?”
“No, you are crazy!” I took his hand away. “I’m not your pet! You can’t just do whatever you want to me and toss me aside! Hold my hand again and you will make it!” I answered and went back to my happy place. Oh, does he look upset? None of my business.
Now that I’d vented, I felt a lot better, so I fell asleep quickly. A long time later, Jenny nudged me. “Breakfast, Lily.”
I covered my head with the blanket. “No! Stop calling me and let me sleep.” Jenny gave up after that and I went back to sleep. When I woke up again, it was already four hours later.
The attendant came to ask me what I would like to eat. Now that I was hungry, I ordered whatever caught my eye before I went to wash up. When I passed Eric’s house, I saw him sleeping too. So I’m not the only one who loves to sleep, am I? Mr. Walker too.
My meal was served when I got back, and the food looked tempting. I dug into it as soon as I sat down, as Camille smiled at me. “You slept well, Lily.”
“That I did,” I replied.
