Chapter 464
Eric sighed at my stunned expression. “I will clean your face for you.” Head spinning, I leaned back on the couch and allowed him to clean my face for me. After doing that, he went back to the bathroom and came out shortly with a basin of water. Placing it in front of me, he sprinkled some salt on it. “Just endure a foot bath tonight to ease the fatigue instead of taking a shower, okay?” Then he crouched down in front of me and reached over to take off my shoes and socks before placing my feet in the warm water. Afterwards, he slowly reached out his hands and massaged my feet with his long, tight
fingers.
I looked at her entranced movements. It was normal for him to clean my face and hands for me, but never in my wildest dreams did I ever think he would actually give me a foot bath. It was the highest honor if he served me a glass of water in the past, so why is he putting himself down so low? Why?
As Eric massaged my feet, he murmured, “Don’t be mad at me anymore, Lilian. I take full responsibility for everything that happened today. I shouldn’t have said those things to you. Please forgive me?” His voice was extremely seductive, sounding like music to the ears on this quiet night.
I couldn’t resist looking at him, and he was looking at me too, his seductive eyes full of tenderness that could make someone melt. I was furious and didn’t want to say a single word, but seeing the kindness in his eyes, my fury slowly dissipated. Spontaneously, I blurted out, “Eric Walker, do you really love me?”
He nodded. “I love you, Lillian.”
It was incredibly natural when he said it, without an ounce of hesitation. So I couldn’t help asking, “But why do you love me? I am a married woman without a stunning face or a sexy figure. So why do you like me?”
“I don’t know.”
“How could you not know? There must be a reason to like someone. Don’t tell me you don’t know what your reason is?”
“Maybe… Maybe I got possessed?”
“Possessed? Eric Walker, if you’re just possessed now, that means you’re going to wake up one day. When you are no longer possessed, you will no longer love me. That’s right?”
“Lilian, do you want to hear the truth or the lie?”
