Sold to Mr. Arrogant novel Chapter 4

I got down but found out that they had already finished eating; the cook gave me a toast to eat in the car since I would be late if I sat down and ate in the kitchen. I was sitting in the car, it is the first time that someone ever drives me somewhere and I have to say that it was a nice experience.

The driver opened the car's door and I stepped out, the college was huge, I heard about its name before but it is my first time seeing it. My friends from my old college called me when I was passing the college's gate.

" Hey, Lily. Where are you, it is already past 7, the first section will start soon." Diana, my childhood friend stated.

" I won’t go for a while. I will meet with ya soon, we will talk then."

" Okay."

I doubted for some reason that my mobile could be hacked, I had that feeling and I did not want to risk saying something I should not have that would reach Gerald's ears. It seems that he hit the maid just to force me into obeying his order, his ways are different and weird. I can't really say they are weird since this ambiance is not my normal average one, I am new to all this after all so I may be the weird one there.

I went to the director's office so he would give me my schedule and instruct me on the college's rules. I was enrolled in a college of pharmacy and I feared that this university would not have a pharmacy college but luckily, it did. I want to be a pharmacist since I was a little child; I like chemistry and combining different compounds.

My first period was Pharmacology and the doctor didn't expect to see me entering with the director to introduce me to the class in the middle of the years. It seems that the director is taking good care of me to an extent that attracted everyone's attention; no director accompanies one of the newly transferred students to their class.

" Hello, I am Lily Anderson; I like hip-hop music and all sorts of sports. It is nice to meet you." I said heading to an empty seat at the back left of the class next to the window.

The boy in front of me turned his head and initiated a conversation.

“ Hey I am Penny, nice to meet you too, what college were you in?" he asked.

The girl next to him also looked at me and waited for me to respond.

I assumed that it would be a headache to say my real college since it is unknown to them, a college of the poorest families while this one seems to be famous and highly hard to enroll in.

" I was home tutored," I lied.

" Whoa, that's cool... doesn't that mean you don't have many friends here, right?" the girl asked.

" I am Alicia by the way," she winked.

" No, I don't," I replied getting uncomfortable with their questions, their clothes were so shiny and most probably so expensive; I understand now why Gerald insisted that I wear the clothes in my closet.

" Mr. Penny and Mrs. Alicia. You should focus on this class or you will be doomed in the finals, you already got very bad grades in the mid-term." The professor commented.

They were embarrassed when the whole class laughed and quickly fixed their position focusing on the board.

Alicia threw me a paper though and I read it.

‘Let’s become friends.'

I didn't know honestly whether I should make any friends or not, I came here for a sole purpose which is monitoring Shawn for the time being and setting him straight but I don't even know what college is he in nor how to do that.
