Chapter 1000 How Does That Feel
Even Yannie was struck dumb. Everything that had happened seconds ago felt much like a dream. Is this really happening? Unbelievable!
The sight of an ordinary-looking person, wielding that unassuming card, declaring their intention to purchase their finest villa, seemed like a joke or a prank to anyone witnessing it.
Yet, against all odds, the transaction had indeed been successful. She had secured a contract that was worth over twenty million.
Yannic, who had regained her senses, was overwhelmed with joy. It was a twenty-five million villa. In other words, she could earn a profit of three hundred thousand from this deal. Oh, my goodness! Three hundred thousand!
She could easily make a down payment for a tiny house in Nebula City with that amount of money. After years of enduring mistreatment since leaving the mountains, all she wanted was a place to call home, and at that moment, her dream had become a reality.
Realization dawned on Yannie, and she could no longer hold back the tears that welled up in her eyes.
Embarrassed by her show of emotions, she wiped away the tears. “I-I’m sorry. I just didn’t expect…”
Alex flashed a faint grin. “You didn’t expect I can afford that villa, did you?”
Yannie’s smile turned somewhat sheepish, but she spoke sincerely. “To be honest, I didn’t think you could afford such an expensive villa. It’s surprising to see wealthy people like you being so low-key.”
Alex nodded, appreciating her hospitality. Despite her doubts about his ability to purchase an expensive villa, she had still served him well.
Meanwhile, Kiara, who had just recovered from the shock, realized Yannie had just sealed a twenty-five million deal. There’s no way I can let this country bumpkin handle this client.
“Yannie, the manager just called you for something urgent. I’ll handle the client for you,” Kiara said, pushing Yannie aside and taking her place.
Plastering a smile on her face, she greeted Alex with a respectful apology, “I’m so sorry, Sir. I was really short-sighted before and didn’t show you the respect you deserve. I’m sure a big shot like you wouldn’t hold a grudge against me, right?”
As she was speaking, Kiara moved closer to Alex, her hand wandering toward his thigh.
“Kiara, what do you think you’re doing? I don’t recall the manager calling me. Besides, this is my client. There’s no need for you to intervene,” Yannie retorted.
Yannie, despite her typically easygoing nature, could not tolerate Kiara’s behavior in this situation. She was determined to assert herself and defend her interests, particularly with the significant profit of three hundred thousand on the line. This matter was of great importance to her.
“Hey! Can’t you see I’m talking to the client?” Kiara reprimanded her. A country bumpkin like you should just keep your mouth shut. Only someone of my caliber deserves to serve clients like him.
Kiara impulsively snatched the glass from the table and drenched Yannie’s face with its contents. Frustrated, she shouted, “I told you the manager was trying to reach you. Can’t you understand what I said?”
Afterward, Kiara faced Alex with a remorseful look and apologized, “I apologize for her behavior. Yannie is new here and lacks proper manners. Coming from a humble background in the mountains, she isn’t suitable to serve esteemed clients like yourself.”
