Just when Kate thought she was going to die, Alex, who was supposed to be out of harm’s way already, turned his body and caught the bullet with his shoulder.
Alex was pushed a few steps back by the impact when the bullet hit him. Blood spurted out from his shoulder instantly after the shot.
In that split second, he decided to take the bullet for Kate and everyone was stunned by what happened.
Was he not afraid to die when he chose to take a bullet for his girl?
What a man!
Kate’s eyes were wide opened with surprise as she never thought Alex would actually take a bullet for her in the heat of the moment.
Where did he find the courage to do that?
Alex clenched his teeth and took deep breaths as he started to feel the pain.
A shot from the powerful AK rifle could be devastating even to someone close to being a grandmaster at martial arts like him.
Elsa then took the opportunity to take down the robber and the outlaws. All of the robbers had collapsed to the ground and it was not known whether any of them were dead or alive.
Alex breathed a sigh of relief as he tore off his T–shirt to bandage himself.
The people around looked at Alex and Elsa with respect and gratitude, especially the female worker who knelt down to Elsa to thank her for saving her life.
“Please get up. I’m a police officer and it is my duty to protect the citizens. If you really want to thank somebody, you should thank him. We’d all be dead if it weren’t for him.” Elsa then pointed to Alex.
The people were thoroughly impressed as they nodded in gratitude. So she’s a police! No wonder she
courageous!
The female worker approached Alex and wanted to kneel down to thank him.
“Don’t mention it. I only did it to protect myself,” responded Alex humbly.
so
“Thank you for saving my life. If it weren’t for you and the officer, I’d be dead. You’re my savior!” Despite Alex’s effort to stop her, she knelt down and kowtow anyway.
Alex didn’t have the strength to stop her anymore as he was in so much pain. So, he focused on bandaging his wound.
The female staff gave him three respectful bows before she stood up and called the police once again.
Soon, the police siren could be heard right outside the bank.
As it turned out, people on the outside called the police when they realized something was wrong.
The armed police rushed into the building and were shocked to find eight of the robbers lying in pools of blood.
