“Come, drink. Let’s talk about work later.” Noticing that Dylan was looking at him hesitatingly, Alex lifted his glass and declared. 

“Yeah, let’s drink.” Dylan raised his glass and smiled. 

Landon grabbed his glass and clinked it against Alex’s and Dylan’s. However, Whitney kept looking at the performance on the stage, not wanting to drink with the three of them. 

She did not deign to drink with Alex as she looked down on him. 

Landon knew Whitney well. He merely smiled and stopped talking about Alex being a live–in son–in–law. 

“Does this pretty lady want a drink?” asked Landon, looking at Rose with a smile. 

“I don’t drink,” answered Rose. 

“Should I order a cup of milk tea for you?” asked Dylan when he heard her. 

The bar offered both alcoholic and non–alcoholic beverages. 

“Sure, thank you!” said Rose politely. 

Chuckling, Dylan ordered a cup of tea. 

At that moment, a couple walked over. Whitney stood up quickly and greeted them. 

“Here, Lily!” Whitney waved her hands. 

When the couple spotted her, they walked over. 

The woman called Lily had heavy make–up on. She looked seductive under the lighting. Holding the man’s arm intimately, she strutted over. 

The man was very tall and muscular too. There was a gold chain hanging around his neck, making him look like a show–off. 

Lily, Alex and Dylan were classmates at college too. However, she was only close to Whitney and did not stay in contact with the others. 

She came today because of Whitney’s invitation. 

“Oh! Isn’t this the straight–A student, Alex?” exclaimed Lily with an exaggerated laugh.
