To Jayden, Rose surpassed his girlfriend, Lily, in every aspect. H felt an irresistible urge surging. 

Although Alex noticed Jayden’s lecherous gaze, he was not bothered by it.

eyes. 

To win the favor of such a pretty and innocent–looking woman like Rose, he had to act in an easy–going and generous manner. 

“You’re so generous! We’ll definitely go there for drinks in the future,” said Landon flatteringly. 

“Sure! I’ll make sure that you have a good time,” promised Jayden with a loud laugh. 

As he laughed, his gaze was still locked on Rose’s body. Then, he grabbed a bottle of alcohol, passed it to Alex and said, “Buddy, since you’re my girlfriend’s classmate, we’re friends too. Here’s a toast to you!” 

A cold glint appeared in Alex’s eyes. 

Before Jayden could do anything, Alex knew what he was up to. 

Jayden suddenly toasted him as an excuse to toast Rose as well. 

By doing so, his actions would not seem so abrupt. 

“Sure,” agreed Alex nonchalantly. He lifted his glass slowly and clinked it against Jayden’s. 

A vicious intent flashed across the latter’s eyes when he saw Alex’s arrogant actions. Although he was unhappy, he did not show it visibly and continued smiling instead. 

“What’s your name, pretty lady?” After toasting Alex, Jayden asked Rose. 

“My name is Rose Grayson,” Rose whispered. 

“As magnificent and gorgeous as a blooming rose. What a pleasant name!” 

Jayden complimented her, feigning an artistic flair. Then he lifted his glass and said, “I’m Jayden. Let me give you a toast too!” 

“I’m sorry, but I don’t drink,” said Rose as she shook her head. 

“You can drink other beverages too,” 

“Okay, then.” Left with no choice, Rose could only lift her glass of milk tea, clink it against Jayden’s glass and take a sip. 

When Lily saw her boyfriend was actually toasting Rose individually, and letting her drink other beverages, she was enraged. 

“Alex, I’ve not seen you in a few years. Where are you working at?” Lily guessed that Rose probably came with Alex. Seeing their average attires, she instantly looked down on them. 

“Don’t you know that he married Heather after graduation?” said Whitney sarcastically.
