“My grandfather’s surname is Miles, of Miles Herbal Pharmacy. It’s the largest herbal pharmacy in Nebula City. They’ve been in this industry for a long time. My mom told me that they’d been working in this business since the Middle Ages. They already had their own store back then and would roam the earth looking for the finest and rarest herbs which they would then sell to the royalty of the Northern Territory and Lumenopolis, as well as the palace’s chemists for a high price. They also kept plenty of high–quality herbs for themselves. They’ve been keeping the business going since then,” Autumn said.
“Damn, that grandfather of yours is pretty wily with his business. I went to him plenty of times trying to
ask for top–tier herbs and was even willing to pay twice the price for them. However, he’d always give me some plain old herbs instead,” Flynn said with a chuckle.

Autumn felt a bit awkward at that and quickly said, “Ah, Mr. Jefferson, my father wanted me to tell you that if you ever needed any herbs, you can come to us. The Jones will do our best to help you find those herbs no matter what.”
“Great. I won’t let your kindness go to waste then.” Alex nodded and adjusted the intensity of the fire before walking over.
When Alex knelt in front of her to take a look at the herbs she brought, Autumn’s heart started beating faster.
Alex picked up a 500–year–old stalk of polygonum multiflora in surprise. Stefan’s pretty generous, isn’t he? He had asked Flynn to buy quite a lot of herbs for him, but most of them were pretty regular in terms of quality. He hadn’t received even a 100–year–old herb before, let alone a 500–year–old one.
Most of them were anywhere from 10 to 30 years old.
He couldn’t even brew the simplest medicines with herbs of that caliber.
He started checking the herbs thoroughly. Two other herbs were over 500 years old – one of which was a celestial snow lotus, and the other was iron root. These were both herbs of the highest quality.
This breed of snow lotus and iron root were both extremely beneficial when creating the Pill of Cultivation.
Alex continued checking through the herbs. Over a hundred of the herbs that Autumn had brought were at least a hundred years old. If they were sold for the regular market price, they’d be worth at least 100 million.
“Not bad. Your dad is really generous. Can you ask him how much all of these costs?” Alex nodded and asked Autumn.
These herbs were all pretty expensive. He didn’t want to leech off of the Jones family like that.
He only wanted the convenience that came with buying from the Jones family not their money.
“Well, my father said that all these herbs are a gift to you, Mr. Jefferson. He did say that in the future, no matter how much you needed, we’d be more than happy to search for them for you,” Autumn quickly stated.
Alex thought about that statement for a while before asking, “You said that most of these came from your grandfather, right? Have they been paid for?”

Autumn said slightly awkwardly, “About thirty, forty million.”

Alex nodded. “Here, how about I give your family some pills after I’m done brewing them? You can pass some to your grandfather’s side of the family too. That way, next time you ask them for any herbs, they’ll be obligated to help.”
Alex was pretty confident in the quality of the pills he inade.
A Pill of Cultivation would probably sell for at least ten million per pill.
