When Heather reached outside, Alex was already in his car.
Even though the man saw Heather in his rear-view mirror, he had no intention of stopping his car for her at all.
Alex went to get a drink in a local bar and did not return home until almost midnight.
When he got home, Heather and the others were already asleep, so he took a shower before sharing his son’s bed for the night.
Knowing that Heather would want him to sell the Jenningses’ shares to their rightful owners, Alex arrived early at the office of Four Seas Corporation the following day.
More than anything, he wanted to see how Heather would react when Demi kicked her out of Jennings Corporation.
Alex thought that Heather had learned her lesson after Demi took away the young woman’s shares, but little did he expect her to remain stubborn.
That was why he had decided to stop helping Heather and the other Jenningses.
Alex finally got sick of the woman and her tiresome issues.
That morning, Heather did not show up, and Alex was done waiting for her.
“If Heather shows up later, tell her that she’s to shell out two hundred million, or she can forget about buying the shares back,” the man instructed Jessica, who was stunned by the arrangement since she did not know what was going on. Still, the secretary nodded in response. “Yes, Mr. Jefferson.”
“If they’re serious about the share buyback, call me, and I’ll have my attorneys discuss the details with them,” added Alex.
“Understood.” Jessica nodded once again before her boss walked away.
Alex headed straight for Sakura Club to practice his elixir-making skills since Flynn had stocked up on a fresh batch of herbs there.
On the surface, it seemed like Alex was working on developing the tech dome, but he was actually more interested in improving his own capabilities.
Practicing alchemy just happened to be one of the most efficient ways to do so.
Alex promised himself that he would not rest until his father was free from Doomsday Prison.
The more he learned about that godforsaken place, the more powerless he felt about saving his father.
Alex knew that he had to double his efforts to have any chance of attempting a rescue.
On
top of that, although Richard had warned the Morrisons against going after him, Uriah would undoubtedly do everything in his power to avenge Susan and Samson.
Since Alex was responsible for the deaths of two Morrisons, the family would never stop until either party was dead.
Left with no choice, Alex decided to let others run his business for him while he focused on developing
