Alex was not bothered by Stuart’s threat. 

Meanwhile, Jacob glared at Alex before rushing after Stuart and heading into the auction hall. 

When Jacob heard Stuart calling someone on the phone, he smirked at Alex and said, “Alex, do you know who Stuart is? How dare you offend him? You will be doomed!”. 

Alex smiled and said, “Isn’t he a low-life from the Nixon family? I’ve fought him before, so you can ask him why he got down on his knees and begged for mercy at the auto show?” 

“Hmph, you can brag all you want, but do you think that you can have your way just because the Grant family is backing you? Let me put it to you. Since you have offended Stuart, not even the Grant family can save you. You are dead meat!” Jacob threatened him. 

Alex replied mockingly, “Is that so? I can’t wait then.” 

“Hmph, just wait and see!” Since Jacob could not argue over Alex, he decided to step away. 

Auriel smiled as she watched Stuart and his group of people walk into the auction hall. “Master, it seems you have many enemies.” 

Alex smiled slightly and said, “Is that so? Perhaps I’m too handsome, so they are all so jealous that they want to fight me.” 

Although he was smiling, his gaze turned stern as he looked at Ally. 

He had an impression that Ally was a bitter and mean woman. It was evident from what he saw at the auto show. 

Strangely, Ally did not say anything when Alex was bickering with Stuart. She stood silent like a statue. 

Perhaps she learned her lesson from last time?

Alex led Auriel to a VIP table in the auction hall. Soon, the auction began. There were only ordinary items on auction. Since there was nothing that Alex wanted, he did not bid. 

He was a little surprised to see that Stuart and Jacob did not bid for anything. They seemed to be here for the purple ginseng.

At this moment, a white-haired man in his fifties walked onto the stage. He received the purple ginseng from a female assistant. 

Then, he checked the item carefully before declaring, “Ladies and gentlemen, in my humble opinion, this purple ginseng is around one thousand two hundred years old. It is of the highest grade. Therefore, please feel free to bid of it.” 

The guests seemed to trust the appraiser, Steven Sullivan. They were confident with his appraisal of the purple ginseng.
