Chapter 549 Begging Alex 

“Go ahead and lodge a police report. I can guarantee you Stuart’s face will be a disfigured mess before the police arrive.” A faint smile tugged at Alex’s lips, and he wasn’t at all bothered about Ally’s threat. 

As Ally took out her phone, she kept her eyes on Alex. Out of the blue, realization dawned upon her that it would be of no use even if she were to lodge a police report. On the contrary, it would only humiliate her employer further. 

The moment Stuart noticed Ally whipping out her phone as though she was going to call the police, stark fear struck him. He instantly shouted angrily. “If you dare lodge a police report, mark my words that I’m going to destroy you!” 

He was no fool, so he truly believed that Alex definitely had the guts to disfigure him if she were to lodge a police report. 

Ally’s heart lurched, and her expression changed drastically. She hastily put her phone away, not even daring to mention a single word about it. 

Stuart then turned to Alex and pleaded, “Please don’t do anything rash. Alex.” 

“Why? Are you now afraid?” Alex questioned sarcastically. 

Stuart went silent, yet everyone could tell that he was scared out of his wits. 

When he said nothing, Alex continued, “If you want me to spare you, address me as your lord and master. Do so thrice, and I’ll let you off if I’m satisfied.” 

Stuart’s expression was exceedingly grim, but at the thought that Alex would certainly disfigure him if he refused to do so, he dipped his head and muttered, “I’m sorry, Lord Jefferson. Please spare me!” 

“Have you not eaten that your voice is a mere whisper? Speak louder, and repeat that,” Alex ordered with at cold snort. 

Hearing that, Stuart jolted. He gritted his teeth and bellowed loudly, “I’m sorry, Lord Jefferson! Please spare me!” 

He repeated that three times. 

Everyone present was dumbfounded, and they all gaped at him in disbelief. 

Is this really the heir of the Nixon family and chairman of Ivy Media Group? How could he possibly be so cowardly? It was just a live-in son-in-law slapping him a few times, yet he’s so frightened to the point of begging him? How utterly useless! 

Alex then stepped forward and patted Stuart on the cheek. “Remember this, laddie. I’m not someone you can afford to offend. If you dare offend me again next time, I’ll definitely have you understand what despair means.” 

As he said that, he cast a sharp look at Jacob before leaving with Auriel. 

When Jacob caught the cold look in his eyes, the scene whereby Alex killed Susan abruptly came to his mind. At once, his blood ran cold. 

Only then did he realize that Alex was a violent man who even dared to commit murder. Yet, he provoked the man again and again. As he dwelled upon it, the fear within him mushroomed. 

Auricl, on the other hand, was incredibly impressed by the entire process, 

“You were simply too cool, Master!” she couldn’t help exclaiming with adulation written all over her face. 

Patting her on the head, Alex chuckled and strode toward the door.
