Instead of answering Callum’s question, Harper looked at David awkwardly because she didn’t dare say that she was single. 

She planned to be David’s woman all along. 

However, she didn’t dare to tell others that she was David’s woman either because he hadn’t touched her 

once. 

Surprisingly, David said to Callum, “I don’t want to lie to you, Callum. Ms. Jennings is my girlfriend.” 

Although Callum lusted for Harper, he didn’t dare snatch away David’s woman. 

David observed Callum’s disappointed expression and smiled. As they continued to talk, David asked purposely. “Callum, how is your father?” 

Callum sighed and replied, “He’s not doing very well. He’s paying his debt for being player in his younger days. His health is worsening as we speak.” 

David asked curiously, “Mr. Leighton was a player?” 

“Of course,” Callum replied. “My father was exactly like me. He was very handsome and good with women. He slept with countless women on business trips where he bought herbs from many places. From what I know, he had at least twenty lovers! That’s more than I ever have!” 

“Wow!” David exclaimed. “I didn’t know that your father was such a player when he was young!” 

Looking a little depressed, Callum nodded and continued, “Why else do you think that I have a bastard brother? In fact, my father has quite a few bastards. It’s just that they are all girls. When my grandfather knew about Yates existence, he insisted that my father take him in from Jazona.” 

Callum continued, “My father also hates Yates. Unfortunately, we can’t chase him out of the house because we will be laughed at, so now he’s working for us.” 

David had heard that there were two sons in the Leighton family, which was none other than Callum and Yates. The latter was the illegitimate son that Callum’s father sired years ago. Yates was only brought to the Leighton family mansion when he was around ten years old, so no one treated him well. 

How miserable it was to grow up in such an environment. 

David asked curiously, “Callum, your father must be very good at sex since he was a player. Did he take any sort of medicine?” 

Callum nodded and laughed. “You’re right! My father got a secret medicine by chance when he was roaming outside. The medicine can highly increase men’s performance in bed.”
