Chapter 782 Out Of Business
“Hello? Mr. Jefferson, how may I help you?” Jack answered the call, asking in a courteous manner.
When the people in the hall noticed that Alex was in the middle of a phone call, they turned their attention toward him as they wondered what he was going to do next.
It was the same for Nicholas. He remained silent and wondered if Alex had lost his mind due to extreme frustration.
He’s just a live-in son-in-law! I doubt he’s capable of forcing me into submission with a call, right?
“Has Four Seas Corporation established any form of collaboration with Leighton Pharmaceutical?” Alex asked in a callous tone.
Confused about what was going on, Jack only knew it wouldn’t be wise to question the chairman and dared not ask too many questions.
After he gathered the relevant information, he answered, “Mr. Jefferson, Leighton Pharmaceutical is but a small and mediocre enterprise unworthy of our time. However, I do have a friend of mine who is the board member of the company.”
“If that’s the case, I’ll leave this matter to you. I want Leighton Pharmaceutical to go out of business within ten minutes,” Alex said flatly.
Because he did not turn on the speaker, Alex was the only one aware of the identity of the person on the other end of the call.
Nonetheless, his words had managed to take everyone by surprise as they gawped at him.
As capable as he might be as a doctor, there’s no way he can put up much of a fight against the Leighton family!
We’re well aware of the company’s situation. At the very least, our company has a net worth of more than two billion.
There’s no way he can get rid of Leighton Pharmaceutical in just ten minutes. He must be delusional if he thinks that we’re just going to roll over and die just because he made a phone call.
The members of the Leighton family thought it was merely one of Alex’s many bluffs. Only Tyrael and Yates knew that it was over for the Leighton family just when they had sorted out the crisis with David.
“Alex, you need to stop getting so full of yourself because it’ll take more than a call of yours to make sure Leighton Pharmaceutical is out of business. Leave now while I’m still in a forgiving mood. A good-for- nothing loser like you is not welcomed here!” Callum warned.
Scoffing. Alex said. “We shall see if I’m lying or not in ten minutes! But don’t worry, though, for my goal is not to force Leighton Pharmaceutical out of business. My ultimate goal is to teach both you and your father a lesson you shan’t forget!”
Nicholas thought it was a waste of time to take Alex seriously as no one could possibly pose a threat to him when they were at the Leighton residence.
