Chapter 783 Severing Ties 

Nicholas wasn’t startled at all. He thought it was impossible for Alex to be affiliated with someone capable of going against the whole Leighton family. 

Seconds after the Leighton family’s men surrounded Alex, Tyrael yelled at Nicholas, “What the hell do you think you’re doing? Is this your way of showing your gratitude to Dr. Jefferson for solving the crises on behalf of your family?” 

Pursing his lips, Callum spat, “Shut your d’mn mouth, old man! If it weren’t because of my injuries. I would’ve given you one hell of a beating by now! How dare you refuse me when I’ve gotten down on my knees, asking you to come with me? Had you followed me here instead of Yates, we wouldn’t have to go through any of these!” 

Tyrael was on the verge of losing his cool, but Alex tapped on his shoulder, urging the older man to remain calm. He wanted to see just how despicable the Leighton family could get. 

“Dr. Jefferson, this is too much! They’re trying to take us into custody on top of refusing to honor their promises! There’s no way I’m treating any members of the Leighton family in the future!” an enraged Tyrael announced at the top of his lungs. 

Alex couldn’t care less because he was certain it wouldn’t take long until it was over for the Leighton family. 

Now that Tyrael had fallen out with the Leighton family. Nicholas and Callum thought it wasn’t necessary to show any mercy to Tyrael anymore. 

Hence, Callum signaled one of the men to take Tyrael out. The man marched in Tyrael’s direction while rolling up his sleeves, planning to teach Tyrael a very harsh lesson. 

However, before he could even lay a finger on Tyrael, someone grabbed his arm. 

It was Alex. Infuriated, the man tried to throw a punch at Alex. 

What the hell? He’s just a stupid doctor! How dare he get in my way! 

Similarly, before his fist could touch Alex, he was sent flying back until he knocked into another member of the family. 

Alex couldn’t believe they had the audacity to even consider beating Tyrael up. After all, Tyrael was considered as an elder and should be respected as such. 

Just when Alex was about to say something, Yates got ahead of him and bellowed, “How could you! How dare you try laying a finger on Dr. Skyworth? I’m the one you’re targeting, so just come after me with everything you’ve got and leave Dr. Skyworth alone!” 

Moments after Yates finished his orated speech, someone launched a powerful kick in his stomach. 

“You bastard child! Who are you to yell at us? It’s time for you to learn your lesson as well!” Callum announced with a scowl. He had almost forgotten that his half-brother was still there with them. 

He thought of venting his grievances out on Yates after being slapped in the face by Nicholas and,beaten to a pulp by David’s men. 

It took Yates quite a while to pull himself together, for the kick he received was a powerful one. Shortly after he brought himself up, he had his arms wrapped around his stomach. 

Gritting his teeth, he announced, “I’m officially severing ties with the Leighton family! There’s no way Im associating myself with such a shameless bunch!” 

Those around him looked at him in disbelief and thought Yates must have gone mad after sustaining such serious injuries. 

“He’s quite a brazen young man, huh? How dare he severs ties with the Leighton family when he’s just an illegitimate son?” 

“To be honest, it’s very foolish of him to sever ties with the family when he’s so close to acquiring a fortune from his father!”
