Chapter 785 Loyalty 

“Why are you in such a rush, Old Mr. Leighton?” Flynn teased. 

His men had surrounded the Leighton residence, and Nicholas could not run even if he wanted to 

He simply couldn’t figure out why Flynn, the notorious King Class warrior of Nebula City, would go after his family. 

He turned back to look at Alex and a thought surfaced in his mind, but he quickly shook it off. He’s just a conman who helps some of the rich families. 

Even though the old man was in a panicked state, he didn’t dare to take the matter lightly when Flynn was there at the Leighton residence. 

If I were to offend Flynn somehow, I would be killed before the police could even get here. 

Though he was feeling extremely anxious, Nicholas said politely, “What brings you here, Mr. Dunn? Unfortunately, I have some matters to tend to, so I’m afraid I can’t entertain you right now. Could you let me out now?” 

Flynn acted as though he didn’t understand what he heard as he stared at the former, a glint of amusement in his eyes. “I’m afraid not. Alex told me to deal with you and your son. What am I supposed to do if you leave now?” 

The old man’s face paled as he mumbled, “Alex?” 

The father and son instantly turned toward the man, and they saw a mocking look on Alex’s face. 

They then realized that not only had Leighton Pharmaceutical gone bankrupt, but they wouldn’t even be able to leave the Leighton family too. 

All this time, they had always thought that Alex was just a good-for-nothing who lived off of a woman. 

Both Callum and Nicholas fell into despair. Without any hesitation, they kneeled before him and started crying. 

“We were wrong, Dr. Jefferson. We have nothing now that Leighton Pharmaceutical is bankrupt. Please don’t send us to jail.” 

Alex didn’t feel an ounce of pity for them. Instead, he glanced toward Yates and said, “I’ll let you handle them.” 

The latter didn’t expect him to not only settle David’s matter but also help him. He felt so grateful to receive such genuine help. 

“Thank you, Dr. Jefferson. I’ll be willing to do anything for you from now on,” he said while getting on his 

knees. 

Alex quickly gestured for him to get up. After that, Yates shifted his gaze toward Nicholas and Callum. 

Much to Nicholas’ surprise, Alex was letting Yates handle him. The old man was secretly delighted because he had always been a pushover. There’s no way he’d be harsh toward me. 

Then, he glanced over at his son and said gently, “I’m your father, Yates! I’m the reason you exist on earth! You’ve been living with the Leighton family for so many years, so you must have developed some feelings
