Chapter 786 Birthday 

“I’ve severed all ties with you previously, Nicholas. I’m not your son anymore. You’re the reason my mother died of grief, so I want you to repent for the rest of your life before my mother’s grave in Coldbridge.” Yates said coldly. 

Then he shifted his gaze toward Callum and said, “As for you, you’ve been living good all your life. You should accompany Nicholas to Coldbridge and collect herbs there. It’s about time you experience how hard it is to collect herbs.” 

Coldbridge? 

The father and son frowned at his words. It was constantly freezing on Coldbridge, and there wasn’t any internet in the mountains. Telling them to go there was basically telling them to be disconnected from the world. 

Nicholas had gone there when he was younger because of his business. He had no other choice but to do so. It was already tormenting enough, even though he had only spent a month or two there. 

This is even worse than sending us to jail! 

Furious, the old man pointed at Yates and shouted, “How did I end up with such an ungrateful child like you? Just look at me. You’re telling me to go to a place like that? Aren’t you trying to kill me?” 

Callum did not expect Yates to send him there of all places either. Not only were the conditions harsh, but there might not be a woman there. 

There’s no way I’ll accept this. I can’t go to Coldbridge no matter what. 

He grabbed Yates by the collar and scorned, “Who do you think you are? You’re just a b’stard at the end of the day. I wasn’t even interested in you when you groveled in front of me previously. How dare you retaliate this way? You must be tired of living, aren’t you?” 

The man then tried to hit Yates. At the sight of this, Alex lifted his leg and sent him flying across the air. 

Alex stared at Callum as though he was trash on the ground and said, “I think the punishment for Callum is too light. Send the both of them to Coldbridge and let them stay there for the rest of their lives. Only give them a house that can barely protect them against the weather. As for the rest, they can work their asses off for it. Also, arrange for someone to give Callum one hundred slaps every day till the day he dies.” 

One of Flynn’s subordinates dragged Nicholas and the still unconscious Callum into a car afterward and drove them to Coldbridge. 

It was quite a perfect ending, with Yates’ successful revenge. The only thing that wasn’t great was that Leighton Pharmaceutical had gone bankrupt. 

You can’t have whatever that doesn’t belong to you, after all. Yates did not take the matter to heart. Instead, he kneeled before Alex and said, “Thank you, Dr. Jefferson. I can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done for me, but I’m willing to do anything you tell me to.” 

The latter helped him up in resignation before saying. “I’m just doing my part in return for the snow ginseng you gave me. Besides, one word from me and Leighton Pharmaceutical won’t stay bankrupt anymore. You’ll be in charge of the company now, so take good care of it. I’ll invest five hundred million in the company later on, so I hope you’ll do a better job than Nicholas.” 

As for the reason why he was going to invest five hundred million in Leighton Pharmaceutical, it was 

Besides, Alex had helped Yates because he admired the latter, and also because he saw himself in him. Yates tried to kneel before him again when he finished speaking, but Alex quickly reached out to stop him. 

“All right, all right. Don’t kneel for me. Just make it big at the company and share some of the profits with me. That’ll be enough,” Alex said. 

Tears streamed down Yates’ face. There was so much that he wanted to say to the former, but all that he ended up saying was, “Okay. I will.”
