Clara was a beautiful woman Now paired with her sweet voice, any man wouldn’t be able to resist her Shawn Chapman was not an exception. 

He patted on the woman’s back and moved his hand to her butt. “How dare he be so rude to my Clara He must not have any respect for you, baby. Let’s teach him a lesson.” 

An evil smile hung on the woman’s lips. You’re going to get it rough for being rude to me. 

This man beside me is no ordinary man. He’s the assistant to the mayor of Nebula City. Even though he’s an assistant, he still works for the mayor. There’s a huge difference between him and other assistants 

Shawn can easily take care of a penniless idiot like him. This man might even get on his knees once he finds out about Shawn’s identity. 

However, Alex was scrolling through his phone as though nothing had happened at that moment, hoping to find inspiration for what to get Richard for his birthday. 

A second later, he felt someone pressing down on his shoulder. He almost dropped his phone because of the sudden movement. 

“Hey! You made my baby upset, you know that? I won’t pursue this further if you apologize to her properly right now,” Shawn said while glaring at the former. 

Clara looked smug at how things played out, and she was staring down at Alex. 

To her, he was just a broke idiot in economy class. The clothes he was wearing didn’t even cost more than two hundred, and the woman absolutely looked down at him. 

She was from an ordinary family and had been wearing cheap outfits since she was young. However, lots of boys had given her gifts during her high school years all because she was pretty. 

Back then, Clara had used her pretty face to her advantage and got herself many wealthy boyfriends. Now, with Shawn by her side, she was acting all high and mighty; she didn’t fancy a poor person like Alex. 

Alex frowned when he realized that the man holding his shoulder was the companion of the woman he had almost bumped into earlier. 

Still, he didn’t want to cause a ruckus. He said coldly, “Let go of me.” 

Shawn did not expect Alex to speak to him like this. He was upset, and he wanted to look good in front of Clara. 

“Do you even know who I am? Hurry up and apologize to my girlfriend, or I’ll teach you a lesson!” Right at that moment, an elderly woman about fifty or sixty years old, who was in the midst of taking care of her grandchild, called out excitedly after taking a good look at Shawn, “I can’t believe it’s really you. Mr. Chapman! I’ve seen you on television before. I can’t believe I get to see you in person today.” 

The elderly woman studied Shawn for a moment before flattering him. “You look so much more handsome in person than what I saw on television.” 

In truth, Shawn was already in his forties. He had a slightly chubby body since he was always out entertaining people. The word “handsome” didn’t quite suit him when he had a beer belly.
