Soon, Stanley’s school holiday was over and it was time for him to return to school. During the holidays. Heather had tried to bring him away, but Alex had rejected her immediately. 

Moreover, regarding their divorce that would happen a week later, they would have gotten divorced by now if it weren’t for Alex’s last-minute work. 

He told Flynn that he needed to head to Lumenopolis for three days, and so the latter was in charge of picking up and sending Stanley. 

Fortunately, both of them had quite a good relationship. Stanley would still be good with Flynn around even if his father left. 

Alex didn’t dare to waste any time upon arriving at the airport. Seeing that it was almost time to board, he quickly rushed to the plane after getting his ticket checked. 

Though his schedule was packed, everything was still in order. He heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that he was near the plane. 

Just then. a young man about twenty years old rushed in Alex’s direction as he shouted, “Excuse me! Coming through!” 

The young man was moving quickly, and he accidentally knocked Alex into a woman standing next to him. Luckily, he managed to avoid bumping into her due to his quick reflexes. 

He took a deep breath and glanced toward the young man, but the latter had already found his seat. 

It was only normal for the young man to be so anxious since time was of the essence when boarding the plane. Alex overlooked the matter and went to look for his own seat instead. 

Right then, a woman’s angry voice was heard. “Hey! Aren’t you going to apologize for bumping into me? How rude of you.” 

Upon hearing that, Alex turned to look and saw that it was the woman he had almost bumped into. She was quite the beauty, and was very tall, with a height of at least one seventy-five with her heels on. 

The woman was wearing a revealing top that showed off her curves, paired with a miniskirt and pantyhose. 

She looked sexy in her outfit, but her makeup was too thick. Her thin lips also made her look crude and mean, which wasn’t Alex’s type at all. 

After scrutinizing the woman, he said in confusion. “I don’t think I even touched you, miss. But if you really want me to apologize, I’m sorry.” 

He thought it would be better to avoid trouble, hence he didn’t want to make a fuss about it. All Alex was thinking about at the moment was what he should give Richard as his birthday present. 

The woman, Clara Wallace, was discontented at the sight of Alex’s lukewarm reaction. She didn’t like that he wasn’t even batting an eye at a gorgeous woman like her. 

It was her first time meeting someone who would ignore her like this, and it was the biggest insult to her beauty.
