Chapter 818 Ingrate
Is she really nineteen years old? Alex raised his eyebrow at Lydia’s frown. She doesn’t seem that old at all. She appears more like an angelic-looking, beautiful doll. I thought she was around sixteen or seventeen years old, but it turns out she’s nineteen. Though, after chatting with her for a while, I think I’ve gotten a good grasp on her personality. She’s more like a cute, innocent girl and several times better than a woman like Clara. Clara is only about a year older than her since she seems to be around twenty-ish years old, but the differences in their personalities are
massive.
They chatted for a while. Unbeknownst to them, there were more and more people around them. Eventually, without either of them realizing it, they had already left that confusing corridor.
We’re finally out. Alex sighed in relief. While he took a liking to the lively and cute young woman in front of him, he still had other matters to attend to, so he bade. Lydia goodbye.
“Thank you, Lydia. We’ll meet again if we’re destined to. Upon ending his sentence, he turned around and left. It’s almost time for the banquet. If I don’t arrive soon, Maggie will be furious.
“Hey!” Before Lydia could say anything else, Alex was already out of her sight. Annoyed, she thought, / didn’t expect that guy can slip away so quickly!
Pouting, she stomped on the ground heavily and muttered to herself, “What an unlikeable guy. I can’t believe he abandoned me after using me. Even though he agreed to do me a favor in exchange for my help, he left just like that! Hmph! You’d better hope we won’t meet again, you annoying b”stard. Otherwise, I’m going to make you pay!”
She tightened her pink fists, wishing she could punch Alex’s face multiple times right away.
Suddenly, two bodyguards in black bolted toward her and sighed in relief when they saw she was okay.
“We finally found you, Ms. Siddall! If anything happens to you, what are we going to tell your grandfather?” said one of the bodyguards.
Upon turning around, Lydia knocked on the head of the bodyguard who spoke to her. However, it impossible for a woman around one hundred and sixty centimeters tall to reach the head of a man was more than one hundred and ninety centimeters tall.
Even after she stood on her toes, she still wasn’t tall enough to reach the bodyguard’s head. Flushed wit anger, she violently stomped on the bodyguard’s foot instead. “I’m already an adult! I don’t need you twe to follow me around like I’m a stupid kid! Do you really think I’ll get lost?”
The bodyguard whose foot was trampled by her didn’t have the nerve to groan in pain. Instead, he lowered his head and explained, “No, but there are a lot of people at the banquet. You may get hurt if you encounter someone with malicious intentions without us.”
“I didn’t meet anyone like that, though I did bump into an ingrate! Hmph!” Lydia was still pissed about Alex leaving so suddenly.
-“I’m glad you’re fine, Ms. Siddall. Perhaps I was overthinking it. In any case, the banquet’s about to start.
