Upon hearing that question, Carmen began averting her gaze. She did not dare to look at her son in the 

cye. 

Recalling her past dealings with Aiden, Carmen felt a wave of regret. How can I be so gullible to trust a smooth talker like him? 

If she were to tell her son about it, he would reprimand her for giving two hundred million to a man she had just gotten to know just a few days ago.

That b*stard said he wanted to borrow two hundred million from me to start a business, so I lent him the money right away.” 

Upon hearing the amount scammed was two hundred million, Lucas heaved a sigh of relief. Even though he was a little upset about it, he was pleased that they still had more than eight billion in their account. As long as I stay away from any casino, I still can lead a comfortable life.
