Kate’s mind went blank when she heard that. The fact that Vinson did not look like he was lying only made her all the more worried. 

She had heard about The Mob while she was in Ferropene. Apparently, their members were so ruthless that even the police couldn’t do much about them. 

Ferropenians were so terrified of The Mob that they would shun them as much as possible for fear of having their entire family killed. 

Kate’s eyes went wide with shock and disbelief as she asked, “You hired someone to kill Alex?” 

I know Alex is a very capable fighter, but there’s no way he could take down Ferropene’s most ruthless gang! Is Alex really dead? If he dies, then everything he did before would’ve been for nothing! Also, what should I do about Emmalyn? Should I keep her? Or should I leave her in an orphanage? 

Kate got really mad at the thought of Vinson ruining her family’s only chance to enter the upper class in Lumenopolis. 

“Yes, it was me who got him killed! I bet the pieces of Alex’s body have been fed to the dogs by now! Submit yourself to me, and you will be able to indulge in all the luxury you can imagine,” Vinson replied with a sadistic grin while observing the changes in Kate’s expressions. 

Sure enough, Kate stopped lashing out at Vinson after hearing that The Mob had killed Alex. 

Instead, her eyes darted around as she evaluated her options.

“Come on, Kate. Let’s go talk inside, shall we?” Vinson asked with a lecherous grin as he ran his hand down her waist and gave her butt a squeeze.

Vinson immediately understood what Kate was trying to say. They were outside the house, and it would be bad if anyone passing by saw them like this. 

The thought of toying with Alex’s woman in his villa got Vinson so excited that his breathing grew heavy.
