Nell moved forward and gave Old Madam Quinton a tight hug.
“Grandma, you’re amazing.”
Old Madam Quinton laughed delightedly when Nell embraced her.
At noon, Nell had lunch at the old residence.
After lunch, Nancy came to take her to the company.
Nell spent the whole afternoon taking care of some matters and returned home at night. Then, she told Gideon about her arrangement this morning with Old Madam Quinton.
Gideon listened and gave his instructions on their outing that was to take place two days later.
As the adults in the house had left, it was not convenient for the two children to remain at home.
Initially, Nell wanted to let them stay with Joseph Garrett for a few days.
After all, he was Nell’s uncle and would also treat the children well.
However, Gideon said that since they would be visiting the Griffins and looking for Cathy Morrison, they might as well bring the children along.
At any rate, they did not have to worry about their safety. Coincidentally, school holidays were around the corner, so leaving the children at home would make them unhappy.
Aside from helping Vickie and Gregory with taking care of the Arcane Jade when he went there, there were no other important matters to handle.
As such, he decided to bring the children along.
Nell listened and realized she had been so busy attending to her work that she was neglecting her two children.
Moreover, once she gave birth to the twins, there would be even less time to spend with Lizzy and Little Viemond.
Thus, instead of struggling to juggle her time when that happened, she might as well accompany her children more frequently now.
As such, she did not object to Gideon’s idea.
When the kids learned that they could travel overseas with Nell and Gideon, they were jumping with joy.
Still, Gideon set a few rules.
As they were going overseas, they could not bring many maids along. Both Nell and Gideon had to attend to a lot of things on their own.
It was fine for Gideon, but Nell was pregnant, so he worried that doing so would tire her out.
Therefore, before they left, he made the kids agree to his rules.
They could not squabble and throw tantrums. They should be obedient, reasonable, and polite when meeting with Old Madam Griffin or Grandma, or else they were not allowed to follow them.
The children were dying to travel with their parents.
Would they decline to agree to the rules after listening to them?
Naturally, they respectfully agreed.
Soon, the day of departure finally arrived. The kids’ stuff had all been packed. Firstly, Nell brought them to the old residence to pick up the Old Madam and Old Master. Then, they traveled to the airport together.
The flight from the capital to Country F took more than four hours. As soon as the family boarded the plane, the two children felt excited.
Fortunately, it was a private plane. Apart from the Leiths and an accompanying medical team, there were no other passengers.
Gideon ordered the kids to sit down properly, then he taught them a few simple and quiet games.
Nell watched with a satisfied smile as Gideon interacted with his children.
Old Madam Quinton and Old Master Leith sat in the front seats of the plane and had 40 winks.
Gideon whispered to Nell, “Close your eyes and take a rest if you’re tired.”
Nell shook her head.
“I’m not.”
She felt happy when she thought about how she would be able to see her mother Cathy again soon. She could have a look at where the latter had been living for the past ten years.
How could she feel tired?
At last, she understood how Lizzy and Little Viemond felt when they stayed at home and waited for their mother’s return.
