Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 1028

Upon seeing this, Nell did not push further for answers.

The group walked past the long pathway as they entered the shrine hall before they saw the Fairy’s tall statue in front of them.

Glinting with gold, the sculpture stood a few meters tall and as a ray of sunlight streamed in, the sculpture reflected the bright light onto the onlookers, blinding them in return.

Standing under it, Lizzy raised her head and looked at the sculpture before her. She let out a soft sigh. “Wow, isn’t she tall?”

Nell laughed. “There’s the pretty fairy you wanted to meet. If you have any wishes, make it now.”

Lizzy nodded her head. With her palms folded, she closed her eyes as she started to pray.

Standing nearby, Cathy did the same but Nell and Gideon were not as religious. Instead of paying their respects to the fairy, they looked around in curiosity.

Little Viemond suddenly spoke.

“Look, mommy! Pretty sister!”

As he said that, he raised his finger and pointed.

Nell began to trace the direction of his finger.

Her gaze then landed on a wall painting. As a saying went, looking from afar was sometimes better than close-ups. All she knew was that it was a huge painting and that it definitely was no fairy. The closer she got to the painting, the harder it was for her to make out what was drawn on it.

The mural had been painted in all shades of color so it felt comfortable to look at from afar. Holding Little Viemond’s hand, they approached the painting, and only then did she realize that it really was a woman.

Dressed in gold, the woman was barefooted and standing on a cloud. She was exceptionally beautiful.

Nell could not help but smile. “You’re right, it really is a pretty lady. I’m glad that your eyesight is better than mine...”

Little Viemond burst into little fits of laughter.

Gideon walked over too and stared at the mural on the wall. Feeling amused, he laughed. “Who knew that a North African fairy would have the features of an East Asian? How amusing.”

Nell replied, “You’re right, but didn’t history show that North Africans used to migrate over to East Asia? That was probably why the woman on the mural looks like one of us.”

Gideon did not say anything as they locked eyes for a moment. Once Lizzy had finished making her wish, they brought her along and left the hall.

As they were making their way out, a worker came forth and sought donations.

Nell did not expect that.

She thought that having to pay for the entry tickets was already more than enough.

Since they were out on a vacation, she did not think much and simply took a few bills out from her purse.

They waited for a while before Cathy came out of the shrine hall.

She immediately walked over to Nell in a hurry and said, “Guess what I found out, Nelly?”

Looking at her, Nell smiled and asked, “What?”

“Weren’t you asking about who built this place? I did some digging and found out that the owner of this palace is someone who came from the East.”

Nell was shocked.

“The East?”

“Yes, but the workers don’t know anything much other than this. When I asked about the castle’s finances, they said that it was controlled by someone, but they didn’t know who.”

Nell frowned.

Somehow, something felt fishy about this place after listening to what Cathy said.

However, she brushed away that thought and did not think much of it anymore. It was just a small matter anyway.

The worker who had asked for donations before this then told them that they could get some fruits, that were blessed by monks, at the back of the palace. Those who eat the fruits were said to receive good fortune.

Nell and Gideon did not care about the fruits but since they had already made the effort to visit this place, they just wanted to explore it and join in the occasion.
