Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 1040

Nell bent down and scooped up a handful of snow and quipped. “It’s my first time seeing snow in the desert. I want to see how much it differs from that in China.”

Gideon saw her gesture and pulled her up at once. He swatted the snow away from her hand and said sternly, “Quit fooling around, you’ll catch a cold.”

Nell found her husband to be too controlling these days.

She must not touch this and that, making her feel like a fragile doll made of tofu that would crumble under the slightest touch.

She chuckled. “I’m fine, don’t worry.”

Then, she reached out her hand to catch some snowflakes on her palm.

The snowflakes dissolved as soon as they came into contact with her skin, leaving a cool sensation on the tips of her fingers. It was a fascinating experience.

Gideon gave in.

He could not stop her and allowed her to do as she wished.

Nell played with the snow for a while. Suddenly, Lizzy appeared out of nowhere.

She had a small scarf wrapped around her neck and donned a white parka. She looked like a little white angel. Her features had yet to develop and mature on her petite face, but one could tell from her eyes that she was going to be a beauty once she grew up.

Like Nell, she scooped up a handful of snow and began to play.

The nearby servants were initially nervous when they saw the family’s appearance.

They were worried that they would get scolded if the family saw them playing around here.

However, instead of scolding them, the family started to play too, which resulted in laughter among the servants.

After all, Nell was pregnant, so Gideon would not allow her to play outdoors for too long.

Thus, a few minutes later, he led her into the house.

Lizzy was led inside as well.

When they were indoors, the temperature rose again. After sitting down on the sofa, Gideon held Nell’s dainty hands with his own and massaged them until warmth eventually returned to her cold hands.

Lizzy noticed it and came over. She pressed both hands deep into Gideon’s arms.

“Daddy, I want it too.”

Gideon could not say no to her, so he allowed her to dig her chilly hands into his arms.

Cathy smiled. “The snow here isn’t as captivating as you think. However, there’s a mountain in this area. Usually, it’s rather windy and dusty over there and not many people visit that place. If you’re interested, we can go there after lunch.”

Nell listened with a sparkle in her eyes. She nodded immediately. “Sure, sure.”

Therefore, after everybody had lunch at noon, they headed out by car.

By the time they had reached the foot of the mountain, they discovered how heavy the snow here was and it had blocked the mountain pathway.

As the path had been obstructed, they could not ascend the mountain.

Hence, they had no choice but to go home.

On the way back, Nell suddenly remembered that she had not bought anything since she came here.

They were already out and they could not stay around any longer because they must travel back home after a few days. Thus, she might as well go with the flow and get her shopping done today.

Gideon had no objections, so all of them went to the shopping mall instead of going home.

As soon as they were in the mall, Nell had to fight against her urge to buy everything on impulse. In the end, she had selected some toys and trinkets that were easy to carry along.

It was not that she was reluctant to spend, but she was here to buy gifts for her family. The Old Madams were not around, so she had to bring something back to them.

If she bought too many things and left them here, Cathy and Sean might not want them and it would be inconvenient to bring them along. That would result in a bigger waste.

Despite the Leith’s wealth and superiority, they brought up their children with good moral values.
