Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 107

“Mommy?”

“Uh-huh.”

“Really? You found me a mommy?”

A smile washed over Gideon’s face. “Would you like to see her?”

“Yes, of course. I want to see her.”

“Well, I’ll hang up the phone and send you a photo then. You must go to sleep after looking at it. Deal?”

“Deal.”

Gideon finally ended the call. In his phone, he found a photo of Nell he took by chance and sent it over.

On the other side, the child became extremely excited upon receiving the photo.

Was this her mommy?

Mommy was beautiful! Fair skin, beautiful eyes, high nose, nice lips!

Mommy looked exactly like Lizzy!!!

‘Ahh… Nana, this is my mommy! Lizzy is her baby! Lizzy is a lucky girl!’

The child clasped her tiny hands around the cell phone and dashed toward the living room to look for Old Madam.

Unexpectedly, the maid assigned to look after her caught the girl just a couple of seconds after she ran out the room.

“Little Miss, it’s already 10:00 pm. Didn’t you promise to go to bed? Why are you still running about?”

Lizzy blinked back blankly.

With her tiny pink lips pursed tightly, those beautiful, black pearl-like pupils of hers darted around the room. In a matter of seconds, she suddenly turned her head around and dashed back into the bedroom.

No way. Mummy was too beautiful! Others should not learn about that!

Or they would try stealing her mommy away!

Mommy belonged to her only. No one should steal mommy away!

Hmph!

The maid did not comment further about the situation as she thought that the child must have dashed back into the bedroom out of guilt.

She trailed behind the child into the bedroom, only stepping forward to tuck the girl in after the latter hurried into the bed. “Little Miss, go to sleep! I’ll leave only after you fall asleep,” she coaxed softly.

Lizzy listened and closed her eyes obediently.

The child fell asleep in a matter of minutes.

The maid noticed that the child had been holding on to her cell phone. The former dared not try to retrieve it out of fear that the girl might throw a tantrum. She waited until the girl was fast asleep before creeping forward to remove the child’s phone.

“Mommy…” the child mumbled faintly in the hazy darkness.

This caught the maid by surprise. She finally heard clearly after leaning nearer to the child’s mouth.

A flurry of emotions chased over the maid’s features. That one word that had been blurted out of the child’s mouth tugged at her heartstrings.

Could this child be considered fortunate? Or pitiable?

It was definitely fortunate that she was born into the influential and affluent Leith family. She would be guaranteed an enjoyable life with no end of wealth and honor.

On the downside, she was a child without a mother.

Anyone who had worked with the Leith family for over five years knew that the Young Master had brought the child home from abroad without the companionship of another woman.

She had been but a newborn baby back then. Perhaps being away from her mother since young had made her physically weak.

There had been several occurrences where she had fallen so terribly ill that the Leiths had taken in different doctors as overnight guests to watch over her condition, including Genius Doctor Sean Miller. It was only after that that Little Miss’ condition stabilized.

As a result, everyone treated her like a pearl in the palm, out of fear that she would be inflicted the tiniest bit of harm. Her health condition improved eventually in recent years.

At the thought of this, the maid landed her gaze on the little girl lying beneath the blanket.

Sigh.

Who was the heartless woman capable of abandoning such an adorable child?
