Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 124

Gideon said in a low voice, “It’s nothing. Go and get a basin of warm water.”

Aunt Joyce quickly agreed. “Yes.”

Gideon carried Nell to the bedroom and Aunt Joyce entered with the water.

He sent her out and wrung out a hot towel to carefully wipe Nell’s face and hands, along with her body.

Upon a closer look, although the woman was unconscious, she appeared to be unharmed.

Gideon sighed in relief.

Before long, Matthew arrived with a doctor.

After an examination, it was determined that there was nothing serious. Although she was drugged, the effects were not intense and not particularly vicious.

After all, the Jennings were not really a despicable family, so they naturally would not dabble in anything too dreadful.

The doctor gave Nell a shot of antidote and helped her to reduce her fever before leaving.

Matthew had been waiting in the living room downstairs. After Gideon confirmed that Nell would be fine, he tucked her in and went downstairs.

“Did you find out what happened in the Jennings residence today?”

Matthew’s expression grew awkward at the question.

He glanced at Gideon’s heavy expression and said heavily, “The drug was given by Old Madam Jennings, because…”

Matthew told Gideon all about what happened in the Jennings residence tonight.

Gideon’s face was already gloomy. After listening to the whole story, it grew so dark that it could drip water.

“President, everyone in the Jennings family was present today, including her biological father, but they still did something like this to her. Do you…”

Gideon sneered.

“I’ll deal with this matter personally. You’ll help me with something else.”

He spoke while handing a driver’s license to Matthew. “Check this company and this person. I don’t want to see them in Jincheng in the future.”

Matthew shivered.

He took the driver’s license and glanced at it. Although he did not know how this man offended his boss, he did not dare to ask too many questions.

He replied respectfully, “Understood.”

Matthew turned to leave.

Aunt Joyce approached cautiously and asked with concern, “Young Master, is the Missus alright?”

“She’s fine.”

Gideon went back up the stairs and paused halfway.

“Go make a cup of honey water.”

“Yes, Sir.”

When he returned to the bedroom, Nell was already awake.

The antidote the doctor gave her was very effective. In just half an hour, she had woken up.

When she saw Gideon, she was stunned for a moment before asking, “How did you find me?”

Gideon grew a little angry at that.

He stepped forward and gently gripped the woman’s chin, and said in a low voice, “Why didn’t you wait for me?”

Nell looked at him in confusion.

“I was worried that the Jennings would come after me! I couldn’t hold on much longer. If they found me, I wouldn’t be able to get away.”

“Then you should have just found a safe place to hide.”

Just the thought that she had the nerve to get into a stranger’s car under that circumstance and almost met with danger.

Nell sulked in aggravation, “I didn’t think that far! I was panicked and confused at that time. How would I think about that?”

She peered at his face as she spoke and hugged his arm coquettishly.

“Hubby, I was wrong~~”

Gideon’s cold mask cracked.

Nell hugged his wrist again and said pitifully, “I thought that you’d find me soon! I didn’t think that the driver would be so bad. Besides, aren’t I fine? No bad guys will dare to bully me with my heroic and valiant husband around!”
