Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 132

Aunt Joyce stopped. She secretly gritted her teeth and scolded herself for being so tactless for appearing at that exact moment.

She clearly knew that the couple was alone in the study. If a handsome man and a beautiful woman were alone in a room in the middle of the night, they must be doing something risque. Why did she come up to serve them supper?

How could supper possibly be more delicious than the wife?

Aunt Joyce flushed and walked back in awkwardly.

“Sir, Missus, I’ve come to bring you some supper.”

She smiled stiffly. Her gaze fell on Nell, who was still sitting on Gideon’s lap, only to see her covering her face with her hands. Her body turned and she buried her head in the man’s arms, looking mortified to death.

The smile on Aunt Joyce’s face deepened and her eyes contained a hint of relief. She put the tray on the table beside her.

Gideon did not say anything else and only ordered, “From now on, don’t come in when my wife and I are alone in the room.”

“Ah, yes! Yes! I understand.”

“Hm. You can go now.”

“Yes, sir.”

Aunt Joyce turned and went out. Her figure and footsteps were so joyful that if a stranger saw her, they would think that she had just won the lottery.

As she left, she very considerately closed the door behind her.

Gideon withdrew his gaze and lowered his eyes to look at the little woman in his arms.

His sexy lips hooked up as his eyes filled with laughter.

“Are you still hiding? She’s gone now.”

Nell peeked out and stole a glance at the doorway. Seeing that Aunt Joyce was really gone and the door was closed as well, she finally lifted her head in relief.

“It’s all your fault!”

She raised her fist to pound the man’s shoulder, ashamed and angry.

Gideon laughed lowly. “Yes, it’s my fault.”

His indulgent and cheerful appearance only made Nell’s anger rise, but she could not vent.

She could only stare at him with her beautiful eyes.

Gideon was in a good mood now, so he stopped trying to tease her, lest he really made her angry.

Thus, she just squeezed her soft waist and asked, “Hungry?”

Although Nell had dinner, she had only taken a few bites because she was busy with work, so she was indeed hungry now.

However, she recalled that she was still angry at him, and she had not made him pay for stealing kisses from her earlier.

It would be too embarrassing to eat his food now.

The man seemed to see her thoughts and the smile in his eyes grew deeper. His lips lifted in joy.

“I’m hungry. Would you eat with me?”

Nell glanced around guiltily. In the end, she swallowed her pride and agreed. “Fine. Since you’re requesting me to accompany you, I’ll eat a little!”

Gideon laughed and released her to lead her over.

On the table were two bowls of seafood porridge, colorful and fragrant.

Nell had only been a little hungry earlier, but after smelling such fragrant porridge, her stomach suddenly growled with hunger.

The air was quiet for a moment.

Her expression stiffened. She looked up at Gideon and smiled awkwardly.

“That’s… You heard wrong. A toad was croaking outside!”
