Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 178

The glass was heavily soundproofed and the weather was unpredictable, where it went from warm to cold and vice versa. The window was shut to maintain the room’s temperature.

The glass muffled Gideon’s voice and it was no longer audible to Nell. She could only decipher from the movement of his lips that he wanted her to make a decision.

Keyboard or durian.

Regardless of which choice, he would do it!

He was undoubtedly in the wrong!

Nell regarded the man. Instead of his usual haughty self, he now behaved like a child who had gotten himself into trouble as he waited for her answer hesitantly.

This sight tugged at her heartstrings. She was not sure what sort of emotion she felt and found it hard to express her thoughts, yet, it touched her, albeit in an indescribable manner.

A certain warmth spread across her eyes as tears began to form. She lifted her head and blinked as she fought the urge to cry.

Nonetheless, her tears streamed down her cheeks uncontrollably.

She was probably moved by this incident. No matter what Gideon meant by his actions, it had triggered her sensitive ego. Thus, she burst out crying.

Gideon started to panic at the sight of Nell sobbing.

Instead of pacifying her, she ended up in tears.

He was alarmed by how sad the woman looked. It felt like his heart was about to shatter into a million pieces.

Unfortunately, the door was locked and he could not enter the room. The window was also latched from the inside and he was unable to open it.

He could get the key from Aunt Joyce to open the door, but he feared that doing so would anger Nell further.

Gideon had no idea what to do. Finally, he gritted his teeth and wrote a line of words on the little blackboard.

“Dear, please don’t cry. I’ll kneel on both objects, alright?”

Nell remained silent.

After a while, she could not hold back her amusement and a laugh escaped her.

Gideon relaxed when he saw her laugh, then he pleaded with her once more.

Nell could not bring herself to be unforgiving towards her husband. Soon, she opened the window.

“Fine, you’ve learned your lesson now. So?”

Gideon let out a sigh of relief. Using a hand, he supported himself on the windowsill and heaved himself into the room.

Nell was startled and back away instinctively. At the next moment, she was locked in the man’s embrace.

“I’m sorry, I’ve learned my lesson well. I’ll never hide anything from you again. Will you forgive me?”

His words were sincere and his gaze was intent as he hugged Nell tightly with his big hands. She struggled to break free but failed.

She was somewhat annoyed.

“Let me go!”

“No. If I let go, you’ll run away!”

Nell was at a loss for words.

What sort of logic was that?

Where would she head to in the dead of night?

Gideon lowered his head and fixed a deep gaze into her eyes. He spoke tenderly, “Grandpa isn’t well, and Grandma has always fretted over me since I was a child. I couldn’t bring myself to defy her intentions, but I know she harbors no ill will. It’s just that she’s a little bit selfish and protective of her grandson. I understand it’s my fault for not telling you about their identities in time.

However, my feelings for you are true. Nelly, will you believe me?”

Nell looked at him. Eventually, she faltered under his earnest expression.

After a while, she muttered, “Then… Don’t make the same mistake again.”

Gideon’s eyes lit up with glee.

He agreed and lifted a hand. “I promise.”
