Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 192

“You-you...”

She fixed her gaze on Nell whose cold eyes, as deep as an abyss, harbored a terrifying force that was capable of sucking her in.

“Cut!”

A male voice was heard.

Tim stood up from behind the lens and frowned at Celine. He asked, “What’s going on with you? You kept stuttering on ‘you’. Can’t you remember a simple line?”

Celine snapped out of the trance.

She stared at Nell in shock as the latter straightened her back and calmly brushed her sleeve with an indifferent look on her face.

Celine’s chest tightened.

Gritting her teeth, she hid the furious glint in her eyes and solemnly answered, “I’m sorry, Director Coombs, I suddenly felt under the weather. It was on the tip of my tongue. Let’s do it again!”

The furrow between Tim’s eyes reflected his annoyance.

Nevertheless, he had the cameras rolling again without a word.

Nell and entourage retreated to their positions and restarted the entire process.

Outside, the media here on an on-the-scene interview had set up their cameras and captured every angle of the shoot.

People were murmuring in a discussion. “I heard that the female lead is played by a newbie. I thought she’d be a rookie but man, the girl got skills.”

“Yeah, she’s pretty good and adept whether in her lines or eyes displacement. I’d have thought she’s an experienced actress!”

“In comparison, the Hundred Flowers award-winning film star is disappointing to say the least!”

“Don’t jump into conclusion. This is only the first take. It’s not like any actors can go on without bloopers. She might do better in the next round.”

“Yes, didn’t she explain she wasn’t feeling well? Look, she looks rather pale. Maybe she’s forcing herself to go even when she’s sick! Let’s not be too harsh on her.”

The murmurs of onlookers went straight into the ears of the media.

They exchanged glances without exchanging a word but had taken these words to heart.

On the other side, Nell reentered the palace and drew near Celine.

She leaned in to grab Celine by the chin. Her facial muscles were tense, her sharp eyes darted a chilling stare, and her lips curled a vague taunt.

With her presence commanding the room, a single frown or gaze was capable of giving a biting cold illusion.

“You’re less than a dog. Do you think I’ll be interested in a pitiful dog? Hmm?”

Celine clenched her fist in secret.

A sharp pain traversed from her fingertips as she was forced to lift her head and face those chilling eyes.

It was a sudden feeling as though she fell in a wormhole as the shrouding coldness sent shivering chills straight into her bones.

Taking a gulp, she stumbled over her words.

“You-you say you have no interest yet here you are.”

“Cut!”

Tim’s voice was heard again.

He tried to keep his cool and suppressed the irritation within before turning to Celine. “Your emotions aren’t quite there. Remember, you may be an ousted empress but you still have your dignity in the face of the enemy who dethroned you!

“You were acting like a palace maid kind of doormat in your earlier performance. Carry yourself with dignity, do you understand?”

Celine’s complexion turned sullen.

However, she nodded in response.
