The group of friends went off. Fortunately, this time was not the peak season at the resort, so there were private rooms available.
Joel asked for a private room and ordered a table full of seafood while they talked, laughed, and ate.
Joel was a troublemaker, instigating his friends at the table to bottoms-up one by one. Stephanie was shy and could not drink very well. After a few drinks, she was rather inebriated. Alan used to be in the army for many years and there were not many opportunities to drink. Later, although he did business, he rarely socialized, so he stopped drinking after a few glasses.
Only Simon and Lucy were gutsy enough to go head to head with Joel.
Joel wanted to drink with Gideon but the latter ignored him. He just took out the jade and said, "I got the stuff for you. Remember what you promised me."
Looking at the jade in front of him, Joel could not wait to hug and kiss Gideon.
Despite being grateful and excited, he did not dare to flatter Gideon. Instead, he gave Nell the attention.
Simon was already quite drunk by now. When he noticed the piece of jade, he suddenly cried out, "F*ck, isn't this the piece that Old Hughes just picked out?"
Joel immediately hugged the jade in his arms vigilantly and said, "It's mine now!"
Simon glanced suspiciously at the two of them and waved his hand. "I won't rob you. It’s just a piece of rock but you’re treating it like a treasure."
Joel snorted, then turned around and said to Lucy, "Lu, don't be jealous. I’m giving this jade to my grandpa, not to another woman. I'll give a more beautiful piece to you the next time on your birthday. I guarantee it’ll be better than this one."
He had already drunk a little too much. When he spoke, he smelled of alcohol while his handsome face was stained with splotches of red.
Overwhelmed by what he had said, Lucy quickly took a step back to keep her distance, staring at him angrily.
"What nonsense? Who wants you to give that to me?"
"Haha..."
Whether he was drunk or faking it, Joel muttered vaguely, "Even if you don’t want me to give it to you, I want to give it to you. Out of so many women, I only want to give it to you. You and the other women are so different..."
As he spoke, his words became more incoherent.
Upon seeing this, Nell interrupted him quickly.
"Joel is drunk. Can you all help him get back to rest first?"
A room was booked upstairs in the hotel and Simon and Joel did not plan to go home tonight.
Unexpectedly, Joel waved his hand.
"I'm not drunk. I, I just want to say something from my heart on this special day today."
Lucy's face soured and Nell noticed it though she did not know the status of their relationship.
However, with so many people today, it would not do Joel any good to say more explicit words, so as not to embarrass the two of them.
Therefore, Nell interrupted him and changed the subject, "Hey, why don’t we eat, drink, and be merry? Let's play some games!"
Simon, who was still a little drunk, immediately became energetic when he listened to the suggestion of playing games.
"Okay, game time. I’m in!”
Joel also reacted with a smile.
"Okay, roll the dice and drink. Second Brother, come and join us."
Gideon glanced at him disdainfully. "If I join you, I'm afraid you’ll lose until you cry.”
Joel initially refused to accept it but Simon tugged him with a wink.
He suddenly remembered the scene of the last time when he had played dice with Gideon, and almost lost his pants. He trembled all over and stopped thinking about it.
With a smile, Simon said, "Well, dice is boring. Let's play a new game."
