Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 424

Nell listened to her with a blank expression.

Just as the doctor was about to be done with the examination, she suddenly asked, “Doctor, earlier you said, how old is the baby?”

The doctor answered, “Four and a half weeks.”

Nell calculated in her head. “Four and a half weeks is one and a half months. So, he will only be born after more than eight months, right?”

The doctor chuckled upon hearing her question. “Yes, that’s right. Why? You can’t wait to see the baby?”

The doctor paused, and continued, “Anyway, don’t get too anxious about it. It’s better to take it slowly, you being anxious will not help anybody.”

Tears welled silently in Nell’s eyes. She tried her best to tighten her lips. “Yes, I understand.”

After they were done with the ultrasound, the doctor handed her the pregnancy results and said, “I will prescribe you some prenatal vitamins, remember to eat them on time. Also, make sure you attend regular check-ups, and don’t be careless. Mr. Leith is a good man with good karma, he will certainly wake up, so don’t worry too much about him.”

When the doctor saw Nell’s downcast face, she let out a sigh. She encouraged her, “Even if something does go wrong, you still have this child. For the sake of your child, you must be strong, okay?”

Nell lowered her head and forced herself to smile. She nodded, “I know. Thank you, doctor.”

After that, she left.

Nell returned to the third floor with the pregnancy results. Gideon was still in the operating theatre.

By then, Matthew Starks had arrived.

Actually, Matthew Starks had been in Country F for the past two days. However, he was managing other matters, so he did not remain by Gideon’s side.

When he heard that Gideon Leith had been injured, Matthew almost jumped out of his skin. He immediately sprinted to the hospital.

When he saw that the sign on the operating theatre was still lit, he could not help but ask, “How is Mr. President?”

Someone explained to him, “Still not out yet.”

Matthew frowned in worry.

He turned around and saw Nell. Although he was a worried wreck himself, he still walked to her and said, “Missus, don’t worry too much, Mr. President will surely be able to turn the tide.”

Nell nodded.

Matthew’s sharp eyes immediately saw the pregnancy results in her hand.

He was stunned.

Missus was pregnant?

Sometimes, life could be so unpredictable. Of all times, Nell Jennings had to get pregnant just as Gideon Leith was injured.

He quickly comforted her. “Missus, you have to relax for the sake of your child. If you are tired, please take a rest. Once your husband wakes up, I will let you know.”

Nell shook her head.

“No, I want to wait for him here.”

In the past, no matter what happened, she could stay strong.

This time, however, looking at the lit sign on top of the operating theatre, Nell could not muster a single ounce of strength. Her mind was jumbled, and she did not know what to do.

She was truly afraid, so afraid that she dared not imagine, what would she do if Gideon Leith did not wake up?

It was her fault that he ended up in this situation. If it weren’t for her, none of this would have happened today.

If something did happen to him, how would she be able to live with herself for the rest of her life?

Matthew watched her in contemplation. He knew that he could not change her mind, so he did not say anything.

After a long time, Nell suddenly spoke up. “Matthew, I’m fine, you can go.”

Matthew was flabbergasted. He replied piped up, “I’m not going to leave. How could I? I want to stay here and protect you!”

Nell shook her head. “I don’t need protection. Go, help Bailey out.”

When he heard her instructions, Matthew was slightly surprised.
