Liam could not say much when he saw this.
“Then be careful and act according to the situation. You don’t have to say much to those lunatics who have reached the end of the rope. If something goes wrong then just kill him, we’ll protect you in secret.”
Gideon nodded.
Half an hour later.
Nell was woken up by the sound of some footsteps.
She was still a little dizzy, her eyes also felt heavy and hard to open. After finally opening her eyes a bit, she felt as if she was surrounded by darkness. A ray of light not far away came in from outside, and she saw a figure swaying faintly.
What is this place?
Nell’s thoughts were still blurry, in her memory, she had just come out from the hospital. Originally, she was going to buy Gideon’s favourite Chinese food, then once she got in the cab…
Nell frowned and tried thinking back. What happened after that?
She was suddenly shocked as a scene appeared in her memories.
No!
Nell came around instantly, and got up from the ground subconsciously.
She was surrounded by darkness and there was a loosely closed door in front.
Some light came through the gaps of the door. Her hands and legs were tied, underneath her was a wooden floor which gave out a damp, salty smell, there was also the sound of wind, like she was on a boat.
A boat?
This made Nell slightly startled, her hands were tied so tightly together that it made her wrists hurt. She frowned and tried to break free but did not manage to, instead, it made her wrists hurt even more.
Nell’s heart sank, she pursed her lips and suffered to move towards the door. She managed to see a swaying figure through the cracks of the door with just a ray of light.
That figure… looks familiar!
She searched hard within her memories, and finally managed to remember as the person turned around. Just as she guessed, it was William Cabot.
“William Cabot!” She shouted, “What did you tie me up here for?”
At that moment, William was anxiously waiting for a reply.
Upon hearing her voice, he realised that she had already managed to crawl to the door. He went over quickly and kicked at her shoulder while glaring at her. Nell could not keep her balance and fell backwards.
William followed in and turned on the lights in the cabin, he carried her to a side and said sternly, “You better be good! Or else I’ll just kill you now!”
Nell grunted in pain and frowned as his movements grazed the wound on her calf.
“William, what do you want to do? I’m warning you, what you’re doing now is considered as kidnapping and it’s illegal!”
Nell said calmly.
William grinned grimly as he squatted down in front of her and revealed a shimmering dagger.
“Kidnapping? Illegal? You think that I’d still be afraid of that now?”
He seemed to be talking to himself, but it also seemed like he was talking to her, “The Griffin family is going to kill me, even if I don’t kidnap you, do you think that my future will be better than being in jail?”
Nell narrowed her eyes slightly, “I’m not even from the Griffin family, what does this have to do with me?”
