Nell had a bad feeling.
As expected, William walked towards her with a grim expression after he hung up the phone.
“Mrs. Leith, it’s too arrogant for you to say that you’re not worth one billion. Gideon is about to arrive, I’ll now bring you outside to get some air, and while we’re at it, let me show you how the dignified president of the Leith Consortium is going to grovel under my feet and beg me like a dog! Haha!”
As William finished speaking, he took out a ragged cloth and stuffed it into her mouth. He then lifted her up and walked outside.
Being gagged, Nell could not speak, so she could only struggle desperately and make noises from time to time.
However, her strength was not worth mentioning to William, he held and tied her with a piece of rope and hung her onto the boat’s mast. Her whole body rose into the air like a flag.
“Mmhm-- Mmhmm-- Mmhm--”
William looked up and glanced at Nell who kept struggling in fear with a cruel smile on his face.
“Don’t be afraid, I’ll let you go once I get the money and after you send me away! Don’t worry, I won’t harm you, I just want the money. There won’t be any benefits for me if I harm you now, Gideon would only chase after me till the end of the world.”
William looked at his watch as he was speaking, “He’ll be here soon! So just pray that we’ll have a successful trade!”
On the other end.
More than a dozen dark green military Hummers parked by the roadside. Gideon sat inside one of the Hummers with a laptop on his lap, skillfully operating something on it.
The Hummer’s door opened and Matthew’s figure came in from the outside.
“President, everyone’s here.”
Gideon had a cold expression on his face, his fingers were typing quickly on the keyboard. Soon, a map with a flashing red dot appeared.
“With this spot as our center of operation, stay on guard underwater and every boat in our surroundings.”
Matthew nodded and said hesitantly, “President, you’re really going to go there by yourself? It’s too dangerous!”
Gideon did not answer him. With that, Matthew knew that he had already made up his mind. There was no point of saying anything else, so he just turned around and continued with his work.
Liam gave Gideon another call.
“Gideon, I’m done arranging everything here, we can start at any time.”
“Alright.” Gideon nodded and after pausing for a few seconds, he said, “Thank you so much.”
“Heh.”
Liam just laughed and said nothing as he hung up.
Gideon also said nothing, he just came out of the Hummer and walked towards the port.
On the fishing boat.
Nell was tied up in the air with the rope strangling her body like knives cutting through her. The pain was unbearable.
She gritted her teeth as she finally managed to spit out the cloth in her mouth. As she saw William who was smoking while holding the rope underneath, the feeling of anger and fear rose.
“William, don’t go any further, even if you get the money, there’s no way you can escape using this fishing boat!
“You’ll have to serve at least 15 years in jail for kidnap and blackmail, so think carefully! What if you get caught? It’s better to just surrender now!”
William looked up and glanced at her coldly. He looked a little lonely and fierce as his burning cigarette flickered in the dark.
“Enough with the nonsense! As long as you’re in my hands, I’ll be able to escape far away with you even with just a wooden plank, let alone an old fishing boat!”
Nell frowned, “Didn’t you say that you’ll release me when you get the money? Why would you want to bring me together?”
“You think that I’m stupid? What if Gideon arranged guards in the surroundings? You need to bring me to a safe place, only then will I let you go!”
“William Cabot, you’re too much! Even if you want to be a kidnapper, at least have the proper ethics of one!
“If you take the money yet you don’t release me, Gideon would surely not give in!
