Fourth Cecil’s breathing became more rapid.

He turned his head and glanced at the people by the door before he turned back to Lucy Katz and said in a lowered voice, “Promise that you’ll keep your word? Don’t lie to me!”

Lucy sneered, “Why would I lie to you? You know where I live, so even if I can avoid you one day, I still wouldn’t be able to hide from you forever.”

After hearing this, Fourth Cecil was convinced.

He thought about it for a while. From a legal perspective, he was her stepfather, so it was in his right to ask her for money.

If she refused to support him financially, he could even sue her for negligence.

After all these years of controlling the mother-daughter pair, Fourth Cecil was now psychologically accustomed to it.

“Fourth Cecil! This is between us. It has nothing to do with my mother. Don’t get any ideas!”

He let out a cold laugh.

“Nothing to do with her? How is that possible? She’s your mother and my wife, so our problem is naturally related to her, don’t you think? Also you little slut, you’re not the same as you were before, so you don’t have to lie to me.

“I know you’ve seduced a rich guy. Now that you’re so capable, what if you don’t pay me after I let you go? I can’t possibly do anything to you then. Do you think I’m not afraid that the crazy man will take revenge on me?

“Your mother, on the hand, is different. She’s my lawfully wedded wife. Even if I don’t scold or beat her, it’s normal for me to do what married couples do with each other. When that happens, if her heart cannot stand it and a mishap happens, this isn’t something I can control, can I?

Her attitude made Fourth Cecil’s expression change.

“Ha! Does that mean you were lying to me earlier? That’s why you didn’t tell me where your mother is? Lucy Katz, do you think it’s fun to mess with me?”

As he said this, he reached out and pinched her chin.

Lucy felt as if her chin was going to be crushed and her head was forced to be lifted.

At that moment, a noise came from outside.

“Hey, did you get anything out of her yet?”

Fourth Cecil looked at those men but he did not get to speak before he heard Lucy said in a low voice, “The money’s in my house.”

Stunned, he could not react in time but he eventually turned to look at her.

“What did you say?”

“I said, the money’s in my house. It’s such a big cheque so obviously, I don’t carry it around with me. If you want it, you can bring me home and get it yourself.”

Fourth Cecil was moved by this notion.

He let go of Lucy and shouted at the men outside, “Soon!”

He then turned around and looked at Lucy.
