Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 610

No matter what choices he made, he would be losing Lucy as a long-term financial support.

If he was given a chance to choose, he would not have chosen either option.

The best plan would be to keep to what he had been doing all along — asking Lucy for money whenever he liked.

Nevertheless, those men were pretty insistent in reminding him that they would kill him on the spot if he did not agree to do what they wanted.

After all, they had influential backgrounds and were not someone Fourth Cecil wanted to mess with. All he could do was to follow their orders.

However, back at the warehouse, when he heard Lucy said that she had a collection of jewelry and antiques at her house, he was moved by greed.

How amazing would it be if he could hoard all of that money to himself?

He did not dare to defy those bullies who asked for compensation back then because of his poor financial status.

Though if he had all that money, he had no one to be afraid of!

Not only that, he could use those cash to get himself out of the country, escaping everything that tried to tie him down here. What did it matter if they found that he had killed someone? They would not be able to find him anyway.

Besides, he knew that those jewelry and jade stones definitely cost much more than just 20 million yuan.

That was one of the reasons why he kidnapped Lucy.

Money made the world go round. What more could you say about someone who loved money as much as he did?

When it was time for him to escape, he certainly would not keep his daughter by his side.

If he managed to sneak out of the country, he would be a free man!

A mad and deranged look graced his face at this thought.

He knew what he was doing right now was risky, and there was a huge chance he would ruin all of the plans he had made before this, but it was too late to turn back now.

If he did not get his hands on that money, he would not be able to flee the country even if he killed Lucy.

The only option left for him then was to kill himself, but he did not want to die.

That was why he decided to gamble.

Fourth Cecil had lost a lot of money these past years on gambling. He was addicted to the practice, so it was not surprising to find that he would take the risk rather than give up in a moment like this.

At last, he agreed to Lucy’s request.

He pulled out Lucy’s phone but did not hand it over to her. Instead, he ordered her to unlock the phone while he held it up.

“What’s his name?” he asked.

Lucy paused and said, “‘His Uncle’.”

Fourth Cecil was dumbfounded.

What?

Whose uncle was he now?

Lucy looked a little embarrassed, and she gave him an awkward smile. “It’s how we have fun. We’re a couple, you know?”

Fourth Cecil was speechless.

Lucy was kicking herself over this. She had changed Joel’s name because he was always bullying her, and she wanted so much to tell him off but never got the guts to actually do it.

The only thing she could do was to change his name on her phone to “His Uncle.”

That was such a gratifying moment for her.

When Fourth Cecil found the name on the phone, he dialed the number and passed her the phone.

Joel was waiting for any news his men might be bringing him. However, it seemed as if Fourth Cecil had vanished into thin air. Nobody could figure out how he accomplished that and where he was right now.

Joel was getting desperate and aggravated, but he was now more convinced than ever that Lucy’s disappearance had something to do with Fourth Cecil.

His phone rang just then, pulling him away from his worries.

He had initially thought it was his subordinates who had finally found something useful, but he was taken aback when he picked the phone up.

The screen of his phone showed that it was Lucy calling him.
