Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 611

How much could all these valuables be sold for?

That single jewelry set alone could be sold for at least ten thousand yuan, let alone those paintings and calligraphies which could very well be worth a billion yuan.

He was going to be rich! Rich!

Fourth could not contain his excitement. The prospect of endless surprises and wealth made his face flush red.

Lucy, on the other hand, was still bound in the bedroom. She could not move her hands or feet. All she could do was listen to the sounds of Fourth wrenching drawers and boxes open in another room.

She lifted her head up and glanced at the clock ticking away on the wall. It had been four minutes since they entered the house.

Although there were quite a few valuables in the room, they had been arranged in an orderly fashion, hence it would not take long for Fourth to pack them up.

He would only need a few minutes! In other words, he would be coming back very soon.

It seemed like she was going to meet her doom today despite all the efforts she had put in to find a way to keep herself alive.

Lucy’s lips tugged up in a bitter smile at the thought of it. She was not exactly scared. She supposed that all she felt was regret.

Before this, she was always so meticulous about everything she did or was about to do. Now that she was about to meet her demise, she found that all those fears and hesitation did not matter in the slightest bit.

She closed her eyes slowly and took a deep breath.

Just then, she thought she heard the rumble of an engine.

She paused and blinked her eyes open in disbelief. From the window on the second floor of the villa, she could see a familiar car speeding in her direction.

Her heart started beating fast.

She still did not dare to make a sound. Even if she wanted to, she could not because a piece of cloth had been stuffed into her mouth.

The only thing she could do was stare as the headlights of the car approached the house and stopped in front of it.

Lucy held her breath.

The room she was in was located very close to the road. That was how she had heard the rumble of the engine. She was not sure if Fourth had taken notice of the car.

With that thought in mind, she held her breath and prayed that Fourth would not spot the car until it was too late.

In reality, indeed, Fourth did not realize that somebody had infiltrated the house.

How could he have the mind to care about anything else when this was his first time beholding so much treasure in a single place? His heart was bursting with joy, and all he could think about was money.

As Fourth continued to be oblivious to his surroundings, Joel had already snuck into the villa with Mike.

They were way ahead of backup since they came in a rush. Because Mike was so worried about Lucy’s safety, he drove them here first. There was no way he could ask his men to surround the building now. They would make too much noise and alert Fourth, thus putting Lucy in danger.

Joel felt his way up the second floor in the darkness, relying on his familiarity with the interior of the villa.

He could see from afar that the lights to the wardrobe and another room were turned on.

With a quick signal of his hand, Mike made his way to the wardrobe as he approached the bedroom.

Tied to the bed with her back to the door, Lucy was just staring out of the window and pondering whether they had entered the villa when she heard light footsteps coming from behind her.

Although the person was trying really hard to make his movements light, her heightened alertness and the tension in her body meant that she could discern the noise easily.

Her heart squeezed in her chest, and she was about to turn when a form flashed across her eyes. Then, a familiar face came into her view.
