Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 63

Nell was caught in the moment before lifting her head to meet Gideon’s handsome face.

Startled, she quickly sat up.

Due to the limited space in the car and lanky build of this man, erecting her body while on his lap saw her head hitting the roof of the car.

“Careful now!”

Owing to Gideon’s quick reflexes, he extended his arm on time to provide a barrier over her head.

Nell knocked right into his palm. Pressing her down on his lap for a seat, Gideon spoke with a gruff, “Don’t move, we’re almost home.”

Nell kept still and asked in a daze, “I fell asleep?”

“Yes but you caught a cold. I’ll have Aunt Joyce make you ginger broth when we’re home.”

With a frown, Nell reached to touch her forehead.

It was burning a little.

The duo got down when the car reached the house. Gideon instructed the kitchen to make ginger broth before sending Nell to her room for a hot bath.

With the residence equipped with central heating and a hot bath good for a cold, Nell obediently took heed.

Nonetheless, just moments after she went, a cry was heard coming from upstairs.

“Ahhhhh!”

Gideon rushed upstairs following a discoloration on his face.

The bedroom was open but the door to the washroom was shut tight. Light was illuminating on the other side.

Gideon knocked on the door with a frown.

“Nelly, what happened?”

A while later, Nell’s croaky voice traveled from inside. “I’m okay! Just leave me!”

The sound of her voice could not muffle the forbearance and pain in her tone.

The dismal look on Gideon’s face turned for the worst.

“Open up!”

No response was heard from the other side of the door.

Though, there were indistinct sounds of rustling.

Still, with a cheerless expression, Gideon forked out a key and opened the door without a second thought.

The moment the door was open, his pupils contracted.

He was riddled by amusement and dejection.

Wrapped in a towel, Nell had taken a fall. With her head still covered in bubbles, she lay by the tub in a rather awkward position.

His appearance startled Nell to move her hands from rubbing on her legs to veiling her face. She wanted to die at the moment.

Gideon walked in.

“Mrs. Leith, is this a bath performance?”

He kneeled down beside her.

“Get out! Get out now!”

Still hung up on death, Nell removed her hands over her face and tried to push him away.

Gideon grabbed her wrist at the opportunity. Seeing one of her legs lying there as straight as an arrow, he extended his arm to hold her ankle.

“A cramp?”

Although reluctant to admit, Nell still nodded.

She turned her embarrassed face away, breaking away from his gaze.

As Gideon’s eyes deepened, he carried her and placed her on the nearby vanity stand.

Nell clenched tightly to the towel over her.

The man did nothing but pressed on several points of her ankle.

He had quite the technique, applying just the right amount of pressure. Soon, the tension was released from her cramped leg.

“Do you feel better?”

He asked in a gentle voice.

Nell nodded.

With the light turned on in the bathroom, the temperature was rising. Gideon stared at her enveloped in a towel, biting on her lips with an aggrieved and unwilling yet awkwardly helpless look on her face. It was quite an amusing sight.

He straightened his back and rested his hands by her sides.

“Mrs. Leith, can you seduce me at another time and place? I don’t want to do it with a patient.”

Nell’s blushing face immediately turned crimson.

“Gideon Leith! When did I seduce you?”
