Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 67

The wound on Nell’s face was nothing serious, and the doctor let her leave after examining her and slathering some medicine on it.

As soon as she went out, she saw Gideon standing in the hallway. She could not tell what he was thinking as his back was to her.

When she called out, the man turned around.

“Are you alright now?”

Nell nodded and saw that he was holding onto his phone, and asked, “Were you on a call?”

“Yeah.”

Gideon stared carefully at her face for a while. “Does it still hurt?”

“Not that much.”

The medicine the doctor gave her was very effective. It was cool and refreshing on her skin and the pain soon went away.

Gideon finally felt relieved.

The two of them went to Clearwater Villa for dinner as planned.

On the other side, Lily was still shocked to learn that Nell was really with Gideon Leith.

She had always held herself in high esteem and looked down on Nell when they were studying.

Afterward, when the person she liked, Jason Morton, was taken away from her by Nell, she grew an even deeper hatred towards her.

Fortunately, when something happened in the Jennings family, Nell went from being a high and mighty lady to a lost dog who could not even return home. That made Lily feel slightly better.

Then, when she heard from Hayley Morton that Jason broke up with Nell, she felt even happier.

However, she never thought that Nell would actually climb up to Gideon Leith.

Lily could not be reconciled no matter how she tried.

After mulling about it, she finally made a call to Celine Jennings.

“Hey, Celine. What are you doing now?

“You’re resting? Oh, it’s nothing much. I just wanted to ask you something.”

Lily told Celine about what happened when she met Nell in the store that afternoon.

Of course, she hid the fact that she had been hit, and only said that she saw Nell with a man who looked like Gideon Leith.

Celine was quite surprised by Lily’s call.

However, she certainly would not let go of the chance to make things difficult for Nell.

Over the phone, she stammered and told Lily about how Nell broke up with Jason and immediately got together with Gideon Leith.

Then, she even sighed.

“Actually, it’s fine if Nell is being together with Young Master Leith because she really likes him, but I’m just worried that she’s doing this because of another reason. You know what kind of person my sister is…”

Lily sneered. “Of course I know. She’s so incredibly vain. Otherwise, why would she have chosen the rich and powerful Jason Morton even though there were so many others chasing after her back then?”

A smile flashed in Celine’s eyes at the words.

She did not follow up on the topic, and Lily asked instead, “Celine, are you sure Nell is married to Gideon? Why is it that the more I think about it, the more it doesn’t make sense?”

Celine forced a laugh.

“I’m not sure about that either. We haven’t had much contact these past few years but… I don’t think I’ve ever heard about her getting married.”

Lily frowned.

She pondered for a while. Celine did not seem to want to talk about this, so she changed the topic. “By the way, there’s going to be a high school anniversary celebration next week. Will you be attending?”

“Of course I will. What about you?”

“The principal invited me as a guest performer.”

“Then I definitely have to go. Well, I’ll see you then.”

“Yes.”

Lily squeezed her phone and contemplated after hanging up the call.

Celine said she had not heard anything about Nell getting married. Did that mean that Nell was not married?

What kind of person was Gideon Leith? Someone like him would never marry a person like her, so…

Her eyes flashed and she quickly opened up her contact list and dialed a number.
